# 'noon fella
I've just had an Email from Nuts offering me a cash payment AND the chance of the week's prize for a picture to appear in Spam. Has anyone else had this remarkably normal business transaction put to them?

# Really?
What's your response?

# still pondering
it IS Nuts after all

# but PRIZES!
have all the nuts altercations been sorted then?
(, Tue 8 Apr 2008, 17:34, archived)
# no idea
that's what I was hoping someone would venture forward and say before I reply to them.

# ah Christ...
I'm going to write a GreaseMonkey extension to hide the I Like This Button. I keep clicking it by accident.

# No the guy's legit!
He ever made a point of contact the likes of me and GTA. I believe he even sorted out any backlog that GTA had issue with Nuts over!
I'm going to start getting Nuts again (lets face it the Zoo entry is not even worth looking at these days) and scanning it for all to see.
I think now it's going to be more a case of just letting people see it. I think all the stuff will come from b3ta as he's not happy about using images sent it.

# haha
can't remember who it was who was talking about this yesterday, but they'd been offered a chance to win £100 if his image was allowed to be used (no definite cash) by one of them, and i mentioned i'd heard Bauer were trying to improve the public image of their new purchases. Looks like they've started already

# Well I've been talking to him for about a month.
If GTA's OK with him he's OK in my books.

# nah
i'm sure it is OK, just that it seems they're trying to clear their backlog before they start applying the rules to everyone. hopefully whoever it was yesterday will see that you lot are all getting money and get in touch saying that he knows the score

# Good lord, actual cash now?
How much?
(, Tue 8 Apr 2008, 17:33, archived)
# enough I would say for the time I spent on the image in question
so it's just down to ethics/dealing with the devil :)

# which picture?
/never gotten any cash or prizes for pictures printed in magazine, but did get one in The Face
(, Tue 8 Apr 2008, 17:41, archived)
# one I did over a year ago
No idea where they are trawling them from, not sure its on my website
(, Tue 8 Apr 2008, 17:43, archived)
# i say do it
you'll be saying to them "see? we are willing to let you publish our images if you pay and credit us".
and they will learn and grow.
(, Tue 8 Apr 2008, 17:42, archived)
# or on the other hand
they might claim that they've purchased the copyright to use the material and flog it on every available mousemat/mug/t-shirtwithhugefakeboobsin. For which he'll get nowt.
(, Tue 8 Apr 2008, 17:50, archived)
# so what
it's a five minute paintmash that I would otherwise leave in a folder gathering dust until I deleted it by accident. This is more than I would have achieved from it otherwise.
(, Tue 8 Apr 2008, 17:53, archived)
# well in that case
if you're not bothered how they'll use it, you might as well make some money out of it.
(, Tue 8 Apr 2008, 17:57, archived)
# exactly
and if you sell them the copyright knowingly, then they can do what they like
and if you don't, and they still use it for merchandise and stuff, you can sue their asses.
(, Tue 8 Apr 2008, 17:58, archived)
# I've told them I own no copyright of the photo bits involved
I claim no responsibility other than coming up with the humourous image. If they get sued by the original photographer thats their fault for printing it.
