also glad i'm not the only one that thought they looked like a botty hole.

Did anyone else notice Catherine's character was completely written out of any possible future appearances with all of that 'She'll burn up nonsense?'
Given how badly her character went down, it was someone's passing shot at the producers methinks

who was so ridiculously better than martha that they kept martha out of sight as much as possible in the hope that no-one would notice

I clearly don't follow this half as much as a mna of my age is meant to

the doctor and martha were hardly in it because they were trapped in the past, it was mainly centred around her

it was like one big thumbs up to slash fic writers for Tennant on Tennant bumming books and two fingers up to everyone who actually wanted something close to science fiction

But I found the constant bumming/tuppence licking references wearing after a while.

but then again i would as i only see it as bubblegum silliness tv, just like it always has been since i was a wee, scared and hiding behind the sofa nipper.

It's Saturday night popcorn tv, and for that alone, I like it. It is infinitely preferable to 'Strictly Come Conga', 'How do you solve a problem like dwindling ratings' or other Norton fronted dross that relies on 'viewer participation' in the form of premium phone lines, and features 'celebrities' and andy warhol '15-minuters' who could all sing cabaret at the wailing wall and nobody would notice.
I've paid my license fee, now put on something entertaining that doesn't require any effort or more cash from me at a time which is considered 'peak' viewing.

i think the new stuff has been a giggle, i even like the sexual innuendos and all the mucking around, i watch it on a week by week basis generally having forgotten what happened in the previous episodes anyway.
i'm in the minority on here because i find the whole science fiction thing funny, the emphasis for me is firmly on the fiction, it's pretend, and it's supposed to be silly.

when you get a chance, search for 'shatner' + 'i am canadian' - he sums up the whole silliness of science fiction quite nicely.

But then they stuck Billy Piper in a whole different dimension and still managed to bring her back.
Hopefully the departure of RTD will put an end to these farcical storylines.

the splodgy Dalek mad thing kept saying that one of the Doctors assistants would die.
Bit none of them did, or did I fall asleep and miss a bit?

something along the lines of 'That Donna is now dead' - after he wiped her mind of the memories relating to travelling with him. At least, that's how I interpreted it.

It was all a bit 'rushed' and 'tricky' to follow. God knows how kids kept up with it. I can only assume the shoehorning in of every single strand mentioned throughout 4 seasons was washed over with the kids by having lots of loud shouty dialogue and explosions and spinning daleks
