But I wouldn't say they were bad. I have a feeling that people think they're shit because they don't have the same philisophical depth; whereas I've heard they do have that, and probably more, but less of the commonly-known philosophies. Eh, chances are I'm talking bull.

Agreeabley #1 was the best
I like how the plot thickens in the other 2. But I havent seen them in years and I saw #3 before #2 So I can't comment much.

I quite like them all
I just thought the second one was poorly tied together, and the third one was too cheesy in parts. But I watched them back to back one day and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
My post is just me using a bit of license to make a little joke. I'm not condemning the entire cast and crew to death by asphyxiation.
but there were completely different expectations for the sequels so they got panned. They're actually quite fun as well as being reasonably philosophically and mythically sound. Then again, they are also proof that those things don't always make a good movie.
