Also TJ, my computer is on it's last legs. anyone here know about putting together a new one, i can't decide on processor speed, ati, nvidia, sli/xfire vs single card, want best bang for buck for about 500 quid.

Needs to be well powered for PS, Music making and gaming.

# you should be able to get a lot for 5 hunned notes
... I use ebuyer and microdirect... the last one I put together was a shuttle for my brother and it is very impressive. He runs Avid on it so it's strong too.

I'm not sure if I'm right or not but I have a preference for AMD processors, ASUS mother boards, SAMSUNG RAM and Seagate drives.

Ebuyer are doing the Athlon 64 X2 6000 for less than £80, you can get two SATA II 500G drives and raid them together, probably another £80... The ASUS crosshair AM2 is good... but pricey

Even if you only use it as a starting point, it should give you an idea. Best of luck

Asus Motherboard (can hold 2 graphics cards)
