Played them on my green-screen Amstrad CPC 464 64K.

I had the Amstrad 6128!
But it was shite anyway, in retrospect.. Anyone remember those dodgy consoles that Amstrad released? They bombed really badly

I was allowed one of those big boxes which allowed you to plug the Amstrad into a telly and make it colour. But tellies were expensive, so I wasn't allowed to buy one for the computer.
Disks (3", naturally) were too much, though. I used cassettes, like all the cool people.

Kids these days, they never had to wait 15 minutes for a game to load and listen intently to metallic screeching to check you've got the volume right!

3" disks were an absolute pain in the arse to find after a few years, and became corrupted at the drop of a hat.

I WANT THAT GAME NOW!

"This is test artwork produced by Blitz Games to see how Dizzy would make the move to a brand new 3D world. This isn't preliminary work for a new game and there isn't a Dizzy game currently in production but if you'd like to give Dizzy any feedback on his new look then email him here: [email protected]. If you want to join the petition to bring him back properly then please visit dizzypetition.members.easyspace.com/. The Dizzy copyright is split evenly between Codemasters and The Oliver Twins and we'd like to thank Codemasters for allowing us to show you this new artwork."

it WAS good... but what makes you think that 9th generation games hardware is what dizzy has been crying out for?

...my mind is clouded with nostalgia, and I most likely wrongly think that modern games developers can match my said notalgic sentiment. I secretly know that any remake would seriously damage my already fragile mind

... I'm sure there must be a games franchise of old which has made it onto the current systems well... Metal Gear (was a NES game...) erm...

that's only a CG to see if people would like one. Judging from that video, I'd rather they let him rest.
2D downloadable Dizzy games with nice graphics on PSN and XBLA - that's the place for Dizzy these days.
