Hahaha, nicely done.
I'd also like to point out to any of you that are confused- being able to play Guitar Hero does NOT mean you can play guitar. Please stop approaching me at my own gigs to smugly announce you can do Dragonforce on hard.

Please tell me I've misunderstood you.

I broke my PSP
playing that :(
I didn't go to sleep that day until I unearthed my PS2, the PS2 version and clocked the entire thing in one session.

I don't think I'd be any good at it. I'm blessed with the worst hand-eye co-ordination ever.
I give up 5 notes in on Guitar Hero.

Simple solution....
1. hand them your scruffy backup guitar
2. say, 'go on then'.

Nah, I don't play six strings. Who am I, Joe Satriani?!
:D
I'm a bassist, I can hardly bitch about lack of musical prowess....

I know, I did consider putting 'Bass' instead of guitar....
My inner pedant though is quick to point out that a bass guitar is still technically a guitar...
Joe Satriani - technically astonishing, but his playing seems to lack feel or soul, if you know what I mean. I'd rather listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn or Buddy Guy, personally.

I know EXACTLY what you mean.
technical ability amounts to shit all in my eyes - I went to see Paul Gilbert do a guitar workshop a couple of years ago and he's technically amazing, but there's a bit of soul there too which was good. Nice guy too.

blimey
there's a name I haven't heard for a bit! Did he demonstrate the electric drill thing he used to do with Billy Sheehan in Mr Big?
Lacking either technical ability or soul, I'm reduced to playing 3-chord punk where my woeful ineptitude is masked by distortion, volume and anger...

He did, I think! It was a couple of years ago.
He did some... stuff too. What's the name of his new band? Anyway, them. They played some stuff.

I've no idea!
My knowledge of music is wedged firmly in the mid-to-late eighties.
I've no idea what's happened since then.

Some great pop
a bit of good dance
a tiny bit of good rock
Nothing really of note.

I can play the real guitar but not Guitar Hero.
I like to announce this at the top of my voice when I fail miserably at the latter.
