# I'm getting pissed off with these desk pictures.
For no other reason than they seem to be quite good quality pictures, yet when I take one in my room it comes out terrible (Fuji Finepix S8000fd). Really grainy and crap, despite more than adequate lighting.

What ISO setting have you got it on? I've noticed contrary to logic that an ISO of 400 looks fine when it's dark but terrible when you have decent lighting.

And the best one was the first one I took, on Auto.

All the rest came out darker and grain-ier, and the monitor was still too bright.

Don't know. I got my camera specifically cuz it has a bunch more manual settings.

You can always try turning the minotaur off, might be nausing up the white balance.
