Thought I would share my new studio: Interfit EX-150 MKII 2 x 150watt heads with stands and sync cables, Softbox and umbrella (unfortunately had a small accident with this and a couple of the arms brokes). I also got a new background support frame which is holding up my chroma greenscreen cloth. It's all very cramped and I i'll have to clear out a lot of stuff to free more space up but my main problem is that my Nikon D70 doesn't have a flash sync port and I forgot to get a Hotshoe Adapter D'oh! so I'll have to wait until next week for the one I ordered from Amazon.

Right I really need to sort out a SLR camera for next year
But taking photos in a studio is easy, much harder outside, more so when you are doing wildlife shots

Well I've mostly done things by trial and error
I did photography at college and gained an A+ in GCSE photography but had to drop out due to lack of cash before I completed the A-level part and thus go onto University for a Higher National Diploma and then onto bigger stuff - so for much of my adulthood I've had to live rather frustrated by not being able to fulfil my dreams :( This in some small way compensate but can never replace my lack of career options.

Not yet
I don't have as many photos as I would have liked to share on flickr. I might set an account up - but my main problem is getting out to places to take photos because at the moment James isn't too well with his pancreatitis and I seem to be working most of the time. But I will endeavour to make more trips out.

I've been playing with setting up small scenes for macro shots etc. (Poker set ups: cards, chips, whiskey etc) Mind you, those ones have yet to be uploaded to flickr. At the mo, it's all big cats, quays, ducks and landscapes

I actually bought a camera, wanting for ages to get one and do some decent photography.
So far I took some photos when it snowed, and that's it for the whole 4 months I've had the camera. The sum total of five photos on my flickr account.

Get a good DSLR and invest in some good lenses
I like Nikon but Canon do excellent cameras too and the Sony camera is pretty damn good for it's price. But ownership of a DSLR isn't important as there are a lot of very good compacts out there, but being as DSLRs are pretty cheap thesedays and if you like do different styles then being able to change lenses is good.

I am going to get a DSLR next year, need to save and work out what I want
The camera I have got is a good one start out on, it is one below a SLR camera and you can get some great shots from it.
