# This is what I've been up all night doing and it's not even half way done. :(
It's a crazy garden thing above a railway for that there architecture degree what I be doing. Structure shown is very basic estimation of the final result. Polycount is killing my laptop though.

# ooooh wow
what are you rendering in?

*edit - there's a sculpture on the way in to Cambridge of two half eaten spheres (one inside the other) made out of a framework like that, it's pretty awesome, so I can assure you that that will look awesome too in real life
*edit again - here looks far, far more impressive in real life with the sun on it

that's very good sir Sir! (your work, not HappyToast - he's just very good stuff in general)

# cheers both of you :)
It's in 3d max 2010 (trial). Just a skylight and no textures at this stage.
(, Wed 20 May 2009, 9:08, archived)
# If you want me to render it with a few more Final Gather samples
It'd give me a good reason to open up my copy of MAX 2010 and actually install it on my 64bit Quad core :)
(, Wed 20 May 2009, 9:12, archived)
# ooh cheers!
I may take you up on that. Any chance I could hold it off a few days to give me time to finish the model? I'm trying to find as much help as possible atm and have 1 friend who's made his quad core available. Two would be amazing.

Don't worry if not though.

# is it for a game?
its lovely but a little scary too. As if insects have taken over the world
(, Wed 20 May 2009, 9:02, archived)
# no...
it's actually an architectural proposal with a lot of technical details and components etc. Unfortuately I only have 2 weeks to turn it from this simple sketch stage into final drawings. It's all worked out but the drawing takes forever. Argh!
