# try this...
sit at roughly arm's length from the monitor and put your finger on the screen, between the left and right images.

looking at your finger and slowly, bring your finger closer to your eyes until, at roughly 6' or so from your nose, the left and right images on the screen should overlap (remember that both eyes are still looking at your finger).

Keeping your finger where it is, then try to focus on the images rather than your finger (doesn't matter how long it takes you to do this).

Once you've done it a few times, you don't need to use your finger any more.

It is a skill worth picking up.
