I am struggling to remember all the positions, where can i find a list of all players and positions (RB/CB/LB etc etc). obv there are some i can remember, but boy there are a lot of players and my brain is small.

also, are you allowed to view others teams? if so, how?

christ i ran out of money at the end lol.. had to get a cheap striker in... i hope to god hodgeson plays pacheco ;)

Yep, you can view other teams as soon as the game starts.

I believe transfers might be availible for longer than the real life august date.

i am looking for some good stats sites, with a good interface. i tried football 365.com but couldn't fing last season (or an easy way to access).. any ideas?

have got rid of g neville - yeah, i know, manc etc, but he is still pretty good specially for his age

I posted on the forum thingy on the game site but I'll post on here as well.

1. You really need to read the FAQ
2. You can make unlimited changes to your team without penalty until the first deadline of the season (14th August, 11:30am).
3. The real-life transfer deadline window has nothing to do with the game.
4. You get 1 free transfer every week.
5. Any transfers over and above the free one cost 4 points each. You can make as many of these as you want each week.
6. You have 2 "wildcards". In the week you play a wildcard, all transfers are without penalty (make lots!). One of the wildcards can only be played in Gameweeks 23-27.
7. If you make no transfers in a gameweek, the unused free transfer will carry over until you make 2 or more in a week. They will not accumulate; you can only have a max of 2 free trannies a week (fnarrrgh).
8. Sites worth bookmarking:
www.fiso.co.uk/forum (general fantasy football info, plus a sub-forum dedicated to FPL)
www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/ (the entire site is pretty much geared around FPL)
news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/default.stm (fairly obvious, but useful for injury news and match previews)

Any more questions, feel free to ask. It's best to get your head round the rules before the season starts. No-one knows precisely which players will score well, but you can at least get on a level footing by knowing the rules.
