This is a link post Who should you vote for in the European elections?
Vote Match is a short quiz which aims to help you find the party that best reflects your political views in the 2014 European elections.

For the record, I got the Greens.

This is a normal post "Your views have the most in common with more than one party"
Apparently I am identically disposed towards, the Conservatives, Lib Dems and Labour. Every single one gets the same score. So my political views aren't represented by anyone basically, so there is no point in voting because I'll end up with some twunt doing the wrong thing regardless.

yet I disagreed with 14 of their policies?
Oh well, not like I'm going to vote anyway.

This is a normal post Don't worry the chances of them actually keeping those policies once elected are slim to none.

This is a normal post Oh fer fucks sake I got UKIP.
We need a left wing voting option for people that want to move away from a federal EU.
(, Wed 30 Apr 2014, 10:42, Reply)
This is a normal post Best vote Green, then
This quiz assumes that your vote for a party is also a vote for/against Europe depending on that party's view, which is a bit wrong really.

Green have said they would have a referendum on Europe, though I don't know if their view is for or against and I don't know if they know either - which is the most democratic position on the subject out of the parties. If you're the figurehead (not leader) of a democracy, and you don't know what your people want, you /ask/.

This is a normal post Greens support a referendum?
I'll have to look into their other policies then.
(, Wed 30 Apr 2014, 11:13, Reply)
This is a normal post I may be wrong about this (as I often am!) having just looked up their policies myself
They are in favour of the EU, but not in its current form which they consider "unsustainable" and not "for the people"... http://policy.greenparty.org.uk/eu

And Caroline Lucus' amendment to the referendum motion here: http://greenparty.org.uk/news/yes-to-an-eu-referendum-green-mp-calls-for-chance-to-build-a-better-europe.html

So they support the referendum on EU but would like to stay in and reform it.

This is a normal post Farrage doesn't own the anti EU vote he just feeds on it.
There were many left and right wing voters and politicians that have been opposed for decades to a federal Europe.
(, Wed 30 Apr 2014, 12:31, Reply)
This is a normal post I got Green then Lib Dem
but unfortunately I couldn't actually vote Green as some of the issues I feel most strongly about I oppose them on (especially GM food, where their policy is entirely emotive and rejects solid science). I know several Green activists, and I like them. But I also think their positions on anything scientific tend to be ridiculously Luddite.

I fear this makes me a Lib Dem...

Perchance?

This is a normal post Oddly...
...the BNP have comparatively centrist/indifferent positions on anything that doesn't involve racism and homophobia. (e.g. economics, etc)

I suspect therefore that your higher disagreement with UKIP will be based on the fact you find almost all of their positions mostly repellent, wheras with the BNP you find only a few of their positions utterly repellent.
