I had to reflect on the meaning of 'number one' and how meaningless music is in my life
Which is a good thing

You need to change the poo/music ratio in your daily life
Then 'number one' will refer to music and not defecation
3-2-1
You're back in the room

Radio Four bores me out of bed
and occasionally entertains me cooking food. That's all radio is good for these days

The real charm of radio four are what you stumble on I find
which is why all my radios are tuned to it. My original remark was geared at how meaningless music has become. The concept of a top-forty for example, or even a number one seems completely irrelevant. It seems like in the last twenty years I could not give a fuck what is popular music, have absolutely no exposure to it, and view anyone obsessing about it as air-headed eccentrics; not that I seem to encounter such people. I can't even remember the last time music played in the background of a pub.
Perhaps I have simply grown up

Or you stopped looking...
The best music doesn't always come knocking on your door. You have to care enough to seek it out. That's always been true to a greater or lesser extent. Radio plays are all about generating sales.

Used to find good new music here.
But that seems to have dried up.

I've had Coxxy on ignore for years. Is he currently being sufficiently entertaining* about Trump to un-ignore him for a bit?

Well there's two ways to find out
1) Post something to remind everyone how you're a much better person than him for not sinking to his level.
2) Sign out and read his posts.

Definite possibilities.
But I require validation and instruction from strangers on the interwebnet.

Putting anyone on ignore just becasue they hold questionable political views isn't a good idea.
You should definitely put on ignore people who are consistently rude, humourless and who never post anything entertaining. I don't think Coxxy is in that category.

Pretty much this
He hasn't posted anything I can recall as vulgar, deliberately offensive, or troll like; and hence no reason to ignore, despite sometimes having opinions other than my own.
Life gets pretty shit when you start insulating yourself from opinions you disagree with. All that safe space bollocks generation snowflake are currently burning themselves with

This has made me realise that he's put me back on ignore.
Thought it seemed less stupid in here than usual.

Oh, is he still here?
I assumed he'd got bored of being so obviously superior to everyone else here that he'd given up and gone back to the sixth-form common room.

At least, not using the system. I just don't read their posts or click their links. The worst posters often lead to the most entertaining threads.

These are just normal b3ta pleasantries.
Thankfully, the kind of behaviour I was referring to is extremely rare in this puerile digital arts community.
