This is a normal post A fine article, and completely correct
I was once in a pub garden in Camberwell having some dinner when some woman got out a potty for her tot to do a shit in. I have not been to South London since.

Kids are lovely and everything, but there should be at least one place in life where I can socialise free from their mental, hyperactive antics; namely a pub. All the dads I know kinda of agree

This is a normal post If I take Freya to a pub
It's for dinner, and only to a family one. I want to go pub to drink, get drunk, throw up, make an arse out of myself, try and get off with a radiator then piss myself lying in the carpark with no top on. I'm sure my daughter doesn't want to witness that...

This is a normal post That's sort of it really
You don't behave in a pub as if it was a tea party. I don't want to watch my language or tone down rowdy behavior because someone has brought their kids to a pub, their presence kills the atmosphere

round our way they just scooch them a few inches back on the picnic tables and they shit there. Then the family moves to a different table.

This is a normal post The thing is
parents are right in principle that it is hard work having kids and they do need to live their lives and people should be a bit more tolerant. However, kids in pubs are just bloody annoying. It's a definite no no any time after dark, and even during the day it's only acceptable if they're sat down, well behaved, and not screaming.

This is a normal post Quite right too
though the chap who bangs on about Organic and Gastro pubs in islington should be made to ONLY drink in pubs with kids in them

This is a normal post I'm in a pub right now, but that's because I'm the manager.
We've got two bars, one child-friendly and one child-free, and yet people still manage to complain. "I want to take my son into the front bar." "Why are there bloody kids in here?"
You can't please everyone all of the time. Actually, it's a struggle pleasing anyone sometimes.

KIPaC

but non-smokers hogging the outside tables are my pet peeve.

It's over, you won, you now have the inside of the pub!
Yes, but it's nicer out here, and would you mind not smoking at the next table to us?
