There has been a couple of cases where the defendant has been acquitted because the jury accepted that the action took place while asleep.
At least one of them has been a murder case; and I think there's been a couple of rape cases that ended this way.
It's obviously hard to prove reasonable doubt - which is why, I guess, the defence is so rare - but it does have some legal precedent and power.

Let's for a second say this condition is real and not made up bullshit
Why would you ever put yourself in a position where you were plying an underage girl with drink and then moving her to a more secluded bedroom once she had passed out. That's a fucking long time to be asleep and interacting with people.
