Copenhagen Suborbitals successfully launch their first rocket
Home-made spaceship by the Copenhagen Suborbitals gets a successful first launch. Taken to a controlled height of 2.6km, the entire rocket is a homespun concept of taking a human in space.
It's only the first flight, and it's not that high, but I am in awe.

Can't remember the DJ
But someone quite famous dropped this at a rave where someone was actually dying at the back.
It was DJ R-something, a woman. My memory is vague.
EDIT: misread and thought this was actually mr kirk's nightmare.

That'll be DJ Rap then.
Can;t think of any other female Dj's with a name starting with R, so gotta be her, she released an album of her own songs, it was a little bit poor.

Classic Doctor Who as anime
A fan has made this frankly lovely anime-style trailer thing set in the Third Doctor era. Well worth a look if you're into old-school Who and late-1980s anime doesn't grate on your eyeballs.

That is amazing
Loved it!
So much good stuff, nice set pieces, the whole thing felt manned up a little, they managed to make the Daleks actually feel fearsome again, some lovely touches, seeing the 'zombie' inside a dying cyberman, the Kaled inside the dying dalek, wonderfully observed animation of said Daleks including their habit of excited wobbling, the Special Weapons Dalek made a special appearance at the end as did them potato headed chaps, some great classic quotes, altho it meant I spent half of it waiting for the 'WInged chap' quote off'of the brigadier, and you forget how hands-on Pertwee was when physically attacked, altho a darn sight less bouffant pantomime dame in this version and they forgot to have him making silly pointless chases in varied fast machinery!
Nice! Would watch more!

There was a guy in Bristol who used to lay on coaches for less than it cost to go national express. They dropped us off at the VIP entrance.
The journey back in the morning was always interesting - a bus full of ravers who don't want to stop yet and a mixtape on the stereo

Too dangerous. As a heterosexual, some of the acid I took had me looking at trees as being a source of sexual congress. Actually there was this one we took that was so strong that had my best mate looking at his brother for same. Brother had taken a bean and we'd had something unholy. If it wasn't for the 2 mile walk back to our campsite along a cliff top path, I reckon we'd have nailed him in the bracken.
