I think cyclists are marginalising themselves with this sort of behaviour. 'Oooh. I have no protection so you should look out for me at all times (as I shoot red lights, mow down pedestrians and generally ignore the rules of the road because Im on a bike )' :/

Let's not have another /links' bike argument :)
(I myself stop at all red lights, don't go on the pavement &c. As all cyclists should).

I follow the rules when cycling.
However, I do spazz out and shout FUCKCUNTWANK! at car & van drivers who don't follow theirs.

although I must admit my favourite shout at the moment is "Doesn't your mam let you ride on the road?"

'This sort of behaviour' if you don't do it,I wasn't referring to you :p

And I agree with Tabby that not all are like this. you get a holes in every race religion, movement and creed.

Religion, movement or creed? I suppose sometimes it is a race, ha ha.
I think of it as "getting to work quick in the morning" and "playing out on me bike". Perhaps I'm not taking it seriously enough.

I didn't see any red lights and he didn't run into any pedestrians in the clip I saw. Was it part of a longer film?

by shouting at the lorry which was legitimately parked at the side of the road.

He was parked in a cycle lane which is illegal and it looks like he could have parked in the car forecourt instead.
( , Wed 19 Oct 2011, 21:02, Reply)

If you're unloading, which is != parked. Also, reversing that lot into the forecourt would mean pointing it right across the road and getting in everyone's way, and that cunt would still shout at him anyway.

No running of red lights or mowing down pedestrians. Just a bit of shouting. Which many drivers (me included) do habitually from within the safety of their car.

either way, as a pedestrian in london, i find an upset cyclist hilair.

And I'm aware of cycling laws but, at least i Liverpool, if you just hop on the pavement and take it easy, no one is going to have a go. i have just never understood cyclists who insist on riding on really busy roads and hold traffic up when there is a free pavement. Maybe it's just me.
Edit: And don't take this as a cunty driver's view, I drive and cycle both equally
( , Wed 19 Oct 2011, 22:22, Reply)

You can't really cycle safely at 20mph on a pavement.
Unless it's a decent length of shared use pavement, and they're quite rare.

getting upset at illegally parked commercial vehicles that force them out into traffic and endangering their lives. How ridiculously unreasonable.
You'd never see a motorist have a good shout at someone breaking the law and inconveniencing them. No, never.
