I'm going to hell for deleting my original post.
This question sucks balls.
One can either post a crappy religious based joke, an insipid story or a good answer that will lead to flamings, and everyone calling you a lowlife scummy cunt.

How right Edenmonster is.

as i said in edenmonster's post
the problem with this place isnt the questions, its that so few people want to contribute anymore. you can draw your own conclusions as to why.

I assume it's the ridiculous levels of personal abuse?
Such a shame. It used to be a fun place but it's apparently been taken over by a few bullies with nothing better to do than be abusive.
I don't care if deleting posts makes me unpopular. I see it as a way of spoiling the trolls fun - kind of like painting over graffiti. Oh and sending them huge amounts of love, which they obviously need :-)

No thanks
I'm not a troll (look it up), and I have lots of love from people in the real world, ta, so I'd rather not have yours. Hence am returning it to sender. It's a bit unsavoury tbh.
I suggest you don't post twee, boastful answers to the question 'what's the worst thing you've ever done?' if you can't handle any genuine responses to it. Yes, you did a very nasty thing and your nauseatingly coy one-line 'story' about it (not exactly compellingly told, was it?) followed by 'I'm not excusing it BUT...' with a series of self-serving excuses, cloying self-pity and inexpert flirting was enough to bring out the hater in anyone who read it.
You got one response that did anything other than stroke your already inflated ego so you chucked your toys out of the pram by deleting the entire thread. Fortunately I have the whole thing saved so can repost it later if I can be bothered (probably not).
Off out with the family now. Have a lovely day in your bubble. You are, of course, the victim in all of this.

Hey, Eccentrica - I'm sure I remember reading another post from you in this thread, earlier - in which, you repeated the initial post, verbatim. You didn't delete it, did you? Because that would make you a massive hypocrite, having deleted exactly the same content as the OP...

OK, I didn't see the post that was deleted
so no idea what it said.
The issue is more that, yes, people seem unwilling to post stories any more because of the vitriol that gets dished out by a handful of people, I was going to call them posters, but won't, because in the main these people post no stories of their own, just responses that are (in the main) unfunny, add nothing, and have put people off from posting on here.
Who cares if the stories from the likes of Legless / SpanyHanky and others were made up or elaborated ? Hey, they made people laugh. They encouraged others to come up with their own tales. They were a great deal more entertaining and worthwhile than the crap that gets posted now.
That's why I'm not answering this QoTW, or most of them from now on. It's just not worth it to get the inevitable responses...and no, it's not that I can't "man up" and take it, it's just so fucking predictable, boring, dull.
Well done to those who have killed QoTW. You cunts.

The original post was nothing of particular note.
Just a few words about a daft affair I got myself in to. As pointed out, I'd also put down that I was the one who ended up hurt in the end and a few other similar comments. Got a fair bit of stick that was a little too personal and decided to take it down as frankly it was the most annoying thing I could do to that individual - and surprise, surprise they have followed me on to the next post :-) it must be love.
I'm not terribly bothered by negative comments if they are playfully done. But when it's just a heap of abuse and assumptions about my character then I think it goes a bit too far.
Intestingly enough, said person has not posted any stories of their own as you mentioned is common in these circumstances. However they have found the time to save the original post and think I'd be bothered if they post it later - strange.
I used to enjoy the Legless posts too - gave me a giggle and did no harm. QOTW has been well and truly wrecked. U don't see why people can't just ignore the posts they don't like. I read lots on here that I don't like and just move on to the next post. I find it really weird that some folk will go out of their way to be so vile back - surely only wasting their own time?
Hey ho - I'm off now for a day of attention seeking, cuntish behaviour in my bubble as per usual. I am afterall a victim!

Having borne the brunt of the internet bullies here
and definitely spurred them on by responding (there's are reasons AB and Rory Lyon feature frequently in my sig) - I'm not ready to give up on the old girl yet.
There are still many here who come to read and/or post funny stories and then make (often funny) fairly erudite comments on said stories. And even take part in some lively banter on occasions.
"Ignore" is your friend & altho it can make some threads seem a bit disjointed that's what it's there for. Not as some would have you believe as a popularity contest.
FTR - I originally gave you shit for deleting your thread cause it's a fave tactic of Shambles when he's out-gunned, the height of cowardice and rudeness in my books.

Fuck, sorry mm
I'd completely forgotten about you.
It's most definitely not cause you're forgettable.
No. Not that.
