The "oholic" in "alcoholic" is from the word "alcohol"
It is the "ic" that is indicative of the addiction.

Someone addicted to chocolate is NOT a "chocoholic".

they are a chocolateic?

Can you actually be clinically addicted to chocolate?
Or is it just a Good Housekeeping-y word for fat fuck?

And I have heard an even worse misunderstanding of the word: I once heard someone refer to herself as 'a chocolate alcoholic'. I don't think she was an alcoholic made of chocolate.
