Mocking of truly stupid tasteless individuals who live next door is one thing but mocking a girl who you don't know who has been found dead and left her little girl without a mother is another. Have you ever seen the photos of an excavation of a shallow grave, the body after? Have you any idea what it's like to be one of those people having to pick up the pieces after such a truly awful act? Do you know what it is to lose a daughter, even is family life has never been ideal? If the answer to any of those is yes than you ought to be ashamed. The Maddy jokes are mostly a reaction to the media circus,
the fact that when a cute, middle-class, blond daughter of doctors goes missing on a foreign holiday, the papers won't shut up, whereas if she'd grown up in circumstances like Vicky Couchman's she'd most likely have vanished from the media in a matter of days. That, and the negligence shown by the McCanns in leaving a three-year-old alone in a foreign country...

Vicky Couchman may have been missing for up to 18 months, and how many of us knew who she was until a couple days ago? But try to find one person in Britain who hasn't read story ater story about Madeline McCann...

Not saying that Maddy jokes are the pinnacle of good taste, but consider the context.

I was firstly going to say - Jeebus - shut the door you'll let in a draft! Plus, why take photo's going to a funeral and put them online?

Then I read how she was murdered and has been missing for 18months. Yet she's only been a member on that site since sept '07???
Then, 20hours ago, a friend texted her blog saying "Is this Vicky...please inform the police...". How can she disappear and be murdered, then set up a profile site over a year ago then only today people start accessing it and adding comments or wondering why she's gone?

I think originally the estimate was that the body had been there for 18 months
But now the cops are estimating 6-12 months.

Also, apparently someone sent messages from that Bebo account about 10 or 11 weeks ago, so the police are trying to figure out what happened there...But they know for sure that the remains found in Hastings are hers.

but if you scroll down to the header "my family" on her page and click it, it opens a childish picture showing her brother and another baby called "Sharie" with wings and saying RIP.

That family has about as much luck as mine at the minute (I've lost 3 family in 10 days, 2 elderly and one 8 year old).

EDIT: just looked at her pics. There are posed, smiley pics in her album entitled "my baby's funeral". That's chavtastic. Fuck them.

We were kind of expecting two, they were 84 and 97 which is a more-than-respectable innings and makes for awesome wakeage (being Irish and all, a non-tragic wake tends to be a celebration of life and a life-affirming event) but my wee cousin's death as a result of complications from his Marfan syndrome was a dreadful shock.

Still not as horrific as your loved ones badly decomposed remains being discovered in the woods, though.

stinks like a month old fish.

Point 1 - the police estimate the remains as 18 months old but the site was created in September 07

Point 2 - A witness says that Vicky was seen alive earlier this year. The police should *really* grill that witness.

Point 3 - A friend of hers, Hollie, was messaged from the site and slagged off - 7 weeks ago.

Someone has went to a lot of trouble to make it look as if Vicky was alive. And they were getting away with up until the remains were discovered.

Conclusion. Either the police are at least 6 months out in the date of her death or someone, probably the murderer, created that site to make it look as if she was alive. If that's the case, the murderer must have had
access to the photos that were posted up - oddly enough they were all posted on the same day. Last September. Another thing, that account has been active in the last day.

While a lot of teenagers DO use obnoxious spellings and text-speak, the spellings on the page are so ridiculous that they could have easily been made by an older person trying too hard to sound like a teenager.
