B3TA fixes the world
Moon Monkey says: Turn into Jeremy Clarkson for a moment, and tell us about the things that are so obviously wrong with the world, and how they should be fixed. Extra points for ludicrous over-simplification, blatant mis-representation, and humourous knob-gags.

Police
You will be able to ring local police stations to report 999 incidents instead of a national desk number.
The police will turn up to ALL crimes and victims (by turn up i mean actually visit the people reporting the crime and go to the crime in progress.
I myself have had three occasions this hasnt happened i imagine im not alone)
Areas will have local bobbies (like they used to) who will walk a beat in that area.
If the area is considerd too dangerous to walk a beat in then they are not doing their job right.
Police will no longer be given high end BMW's,Mercedes,Jaguars
to drive. Luxury cars are for people who have worked hard to achieve luxury items not public servant perks obtained using police budgets or bungs.

To be fair they use those cars to chase other fast cars.
It's not like it's a company car they get to drive about and nip to the shops with.

^
to be fairer i didnt include subaru's imprezas and mitsi evo's
These cars are imo built to chase other fast cars and have 4x4 capability too.
We can rework other cars in that are considered the best chase vehicles
i would have to let people will more knowledge than me decide the models
I just balk everytime i see a 40 grand BMW X5 or huge Merc police car will full leather seats!
i think what im trying to say is performance models only
and then only cars that will get the job done.

I suppose they need the luggage space
for the cones and the signs and the tazers etc. Actually I fully encourage the deployment of Jaguars - made in Castle Bromwich, support British workers etc etc. Probably a separate post but anybody buying a German "luxury" saloon rather than a Jag should be shot.

Had to laugh at "Police will no longer be given high end BMW's,Mercedes,Jaguars"
the closest i get is a 1.1 fiesta diesel. Now, if you're talking about the ACC's and DCC's, that's a different matter...
And, by the way, if you think things are bad now, in relation to the lack of available cops when you need one, i'd consider emigrating.
Any suggestions from the Government that you can have the same response with fewer police is plain ignorant. The only thing you get with less is less.

The best evidence is that having bobbies on the beat
is a very inefficient method of policing.

I
honestly believe that we'd be better off doing away with the police altogether.
They hardly turn up to a shout, when they do, they usually make matters worse and swan about antagonising those who've made the call. If there's a traffic accident, all I see is them parking in a way that inconveniences other road users more so than the original accident rather than actually doing anything about it.
They're not there for our safety, they are simply there for the ruling classes to keep us all in our place and most are too thick to even realise it themselves.
