Gingers stop whinging.
Racism, bigotry etc? I think not.

I doubt anyone with ginger hair has been denied a job because of it or has had a partner's parents get angry because they are going out with someone who has ginger hair or has been beaten up or spat at.

Humans will always make fun of other humans, whether very tall, short, bespectacled, skinny, overweight, posh, working class, the list goes on.

Unless it becomes abusive, (which I can't imagine it ever would be), then get over it.

Fuck off
I want to subjugate the carrot-topped little demons. They make me puke.

Wow did you get turned down by a ginger hyper? You seem very angry.
I don't think I have ever been offended enough to put it anywhere near on a par with rascism.
It just gets a bit bloody tedious really. When you are school age it can be upsetting but most of us do get over it and learn to appreciate our "don't have to dye it to make it interesting" hair colour.

Oh god - I'm so busted!
I didn't realise the word "This" gave away so much about me!

Ha ha.
Hahahahaha!

Dirty, filthy red-head.

Like in schools?
Where it can reach levels where it's bullying, where kids can and do get beaten and spat at. Picking on that aspect is discriminatory to a certain extent. Don't get me wrong, as long as I'm not a scapegoat for a war or economic crisis I know it's not that heavy. Nevertheless while here it can be said as joke and not necessarily to harm or wholly hurt (though a little bit is all right) there are times and places where it can be abusive.

Prexactly that.
It starts with kids in the playground seeking peer approval that they are 'normal' - achieved by pointing out the obviously different. Mostly we grow out of that.
But the point is discrimination based on such a meaningless 'difference' soon becomes patently risible. And if you’re the subject of such discrimination you'll know how mindless it is.

Prejudice and bullying are ugly no matter what the cause.
I still don't understand what the problem is with Brits and redheads. Seriously, over here the opposite tends to be true in that redheads are pretty well sought after.

That said, any defense of bullying a group of people based on their natural appearance is utterly unacceptable. Even if the prejudice doesn't quite reach the heights of discrimination in the workplace, it's still fucking ugly and reflects poorly on the society that tolerates it.

To make the case for gingers, have some redhead pr0n: www.redheadmania.com/ (Obviously NSFW)

I was complaining about the people who say making fun of red heads is on par with racism and bigotry.
As in some posts below.

But exploiting them for porn is OK.

Gingers?
Urgh no.

It IS abusive though, if you get it most days
even if it's quite low-level.
Being constantly derided for something blameless and over which you have no control can be soul-destroying, especially if you're a kid.
