This is a question Karma

Sue Denham writes, "I once slipped out of work two hours early without the boss noticing. In my hurry to make the most of this petty victory, I knocked myself out on the car door and spent the rest of the day semi-conscious, bowking rich brown vomit over my one and only suit."

Have you been visited by the forces of Karma, or watched it happen to other people?

Thanks to Pooflake for the suggestion

Fucking Great...
.
I mentioned the other week that I'd just bought a shiney new Mac. And I mentioned how much I hated and despised the fuckers.

Well guess what.

It's just fucking died on me.

Karmas a bitch.

Told you they were piles of fucking junk.

Back to Apple for you my son....

Cheers

I know most people hate macs.
So much so that it is cliche, but I really cannot see the point in them.

if
this doesn't make the top ten then theres no justice

I mean macs have their place in the computing world, don't get me wrong, but much like anyone who is used to an i-river or a creative mp3 player and then buys an ipod, will most likely be disappointed.

Sadly
I need one for work.

I use the MAC for testing compatibility of various websites I'm involved with. So now, not only do I have to test compatibility for various browsers, I have to test for different OS's as well.

So I've a laptop that boots into VISTA, XP and LINUX. I've a MAC that runs Leopard and Tiger and I've a whole host of virtual PC's running different versions of Windows and broswer revisions.

Compatability on the web. Don't get me fucking started.

And SAFARI can just fuck right off. I'm *not* making any of my sites compatible with it 'cos it's a pile of badly-behaved crap.

Cheers

How the hell do you kill a Mac?
I've only ever see them die from downloading too much dodgy porn.

Ha ha @ flirting with badgers :D
I'd also like to ask how the flippin eck you managed to break it?! I've been working on macs since I was a young slip of a lass at college, and now at the ripe old age of 25 I can honestly say I've never had one die on me!

I dunno ... these bloody techies don't know what they're doing half the time ... ;-D heh

I am a Mac user
but not one of the "Oh, it is the pinnacle of all existence and I bow down before it" brigade. I'm an artist, so the way Mac operates suits me. Mine's been fairly reliable, however...

...my mother bought a MacBook at the same time as me, from the same shop, abusing my student discount (she's a neophile and loves gadgets, got an iphone as soon as it came out). Three months later she manages to WIPE THE HARDDRIVE. Accidentally. She has no idea how it happened.

I think there must just be some bad apples

I have to use one for work :(
The only thing they're good for are searching for files, but you can get the windows desktop search now.
I hate the mouse it's rubbish apart from the ball thing which you have to clean every day.
It's slower than my Pc at home for graphics even though the mac was far more costly, It's just a style thing or if you're not very good at using puters.
System prefs has got nothing in it control panel got loads of detail but things I can mod on windows aren't there I can't find them in other places either they don't want you to break it.

To Be Fair
It's the hard disk. It's died.

If a computer is going to have a disk failure, it's generally in the first couple of weeks. Things with moving parts go wrong occasionally.

i had an ipod - it lasted for 12 months 2 weeks....

Wow! didnt apple time that one perfectly! I have recently found that style isnt anything when all you use it for is the functionality. Style lasts for about 20 minutes then it gets scratched and looks seconds hand.

I think my iPod lasted exactly that long too...
However, my eMac will be 5 years old this May and is still as reliable as ever. It's a pain in the arse when it comes to wireless internet though, and I don't like how you need a degree in computer science to upgrade it (although it's probably me being thick).

I still think I prefer it to our PC though as it's pretty and I like Photoshopping on it. PCs and Macs both have their uses though.

A good friend of mine
Recently got a shiney new iMac... within a couple of weeks that one had died, thanks to the heinious (sp?) crime of attempting to play a dvd on the damn thing.

A couple of weeks after recieving the replacement, same thing happened but without any reason at all.

He's now on his third iMac, which matches his iTouch perfectly and will nicely complement his new MacBook when he gets it.

I regularly question why he buys this garbage, as for the same price you can get a far better PC or mp3 player (and to be fair to him, he hasn't yet come up with any reasons other than they're pretty).

The whole diehard Mac fan attitude some people have I find just annoying.. how mac's are the best thing since sliced broadband, and they never ever go wrong ever. They do, and I have proof; said friend's iMac crashes and freezes more often than my 2 year old laptop running XP.

Rock On
