This is a question Kids

Either you love 'em or you hate 'em. Or in the case of Fred West - both. Tell us your ankle-biter stories.

Re: children being funny
No. No they aren't. They just say stupid things that are endearing to their owners. They can't make clever puns, complicated jokes or understand satire. If they were actually funny they'd be on TV hosting Never Mind The Buzzcocks or something.

You've Been Framed
The producers seem to think a closeup shot of a confused baby sitting there motionless, before uttering a faint "G-gurgh?" is hilariously funny.

It isn't.

So that would be ..
...pretty much like the fundamentals of slapstick comedy then????

But CHCB
They were on telly. It was with Michael Barrymore and everything. That's the sure sign of good, quality TV!

I agree...
...kids are not funny at all, in fact they're shite at most things. I'm better than kids at almost everything (except crapping my pants crying about it).... I'm not bragging its a fact! I rock.....

kids are only funny
by accident. Mine fell off the stage during the Nativity and I laughed so hard I couldn't speak.

What do you mean, Social Services want a word?

@ Kopite
I'm sure you can outdo a kid at crapping your pants - go on, try it - I dare you, I DOUBLE dare you.

(please don't post pic proof)

click!
purely for the scathing bitterness of the content.

Not very sophisticated perhaps...
But the questions children ask do have a way of innocently but definitely pointing out the wrongheadedness and bitterness of certain grown-ups who think that being unhappy is the same thing as being intelligent.

When this happens in a public setting it's pretty much the funniest thing in the world.

Sadly, it's far too random an occurrence to capture on film regularly, or it would be the basis of the highest rated show in history.

I actually thought...
...that there was a child presenting Buzzcocks. After all, he doesn't make clever puns, complicated jokes or understand satire.
