Been great for me, bought four sofas and a kitchen so far.
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:00, Reply)

(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:38, Reply)
What do you think the sofas are for?

(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:46, Reply)
Of course!

(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:50, Reply)
I think the only thing I haven't bought in the sales is toilet paper.
In the form I'm currently in I'll never need it again.
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:53, Reply)
I'm fuming over this

(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:57, Reply)
Hi K
Its been pretty shit tbh, my family gets a little more bitchy every year, one of the kids was an irritating little shit, and I was too bloated to try any of the dessert my sister made, which looked fucking fantastic.

On the upside, I'm off to see a b3tan, and I've just seen a van labelled 'CDC Group'.

How about yours?
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:19, Reply)
I spent christmas with my white trash extended family
my cousin hit her sisters kid with a flip flop for misbehaving
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:42, Reply)
This kid is my brother's girlfriend's
Couldn't share, wouldn't stop screaming, irritating, etc. Most annoying thing is that at no point was he told 'No!', only ever 'oh nooo, don't do that' in a gentle voice.

Fucking pathetic.
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:59, Reply)
woo and yay to all of this!

(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 18:36, Reply)
I'm at work
*waves*

*points and laughs*

(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:24, Reply)
It's work or spend time with my family
who I see all the time anyway.

This way I don't have to go crazy with Mr. Chop-Chop (my axe)
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:27, Reply)
I spent Christmas day and boxing day mostly asleep.
Today I've been running round like a headless chicken.
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:32, Reply)
lots of things to do?

(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:34, Reply)
Sorting out stuff for going away new year and Tenerife for Aber's wedding.
The gym.
Some food shopping.
A bath.
I've still got the house to clean which I'll leave till tomorrow and some other stuff.

Oh and I was up at 7am to take my parent's dogs out for a walk.
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:36, Reply)
I always leave the house-cleaning til last too
It's a bitch
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:38, Reply)
If I don't get it done by the end of Wednesday then I won't get the chance till mid January : )

(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:41, Reply)

(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:46, Reply)

I ate enough trifle to sink an aircraft carrier.
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:51, Reply)
same here
I've eaten so much pate and gammon
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:53, Reply)
Mmmmm pate

(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:54, Reply)
I used it in my starter as well
and my dad loves it so it's the snack of choice
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:55, Reply)
What did you make?

(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:57, Reply)
Pate, homemade red onion marmalade, wholemeal bread
and salmon for those who wanted it. Melon for the children with fruit etc. Then standard turkey + all trimmings for main, christmas pudding/cheesecake for dessert
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 15:10, Reply)
Sounds lovely :D

(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 18:35, Reply)
Right I'm off for a while.
I'm putting March of the penguins on the tv and have a doze on the sofa.

Catch you later.
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 14:59, Reply)
...and 5 hours since this one
everyone have a good christmas? I couldn't handle staying until tuesday, so I'm back today feeling like I made an escape
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 18:14, Reply)
Half an hour since this post.
Slow b3ta is slow.

It was fairly good, I got very upset in the days leading up to it as I missed an old friend desperately, but I'm ok now. Who did you escape from?
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 18:44, Reply)
parents-
really, I forget how it is there - we do nothing but eat and watch telly. The whole time it seems like parents are constantly getting at one another, being all irritable and shit. I hate it, it's just nasty. I think this makes me a bad person.

Anyway, I got a new computer, did you get something good?
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 18:48, Reply)
I made an off-hand comment about how I left my eyeshadow brush in London
and come Christmas day my dad has brought me a MAC brush set. I'm so happy :D Other than that, some jewellery, some money, some gloves and a russian doll hot-water bottle. Not bad at all.

Family have been fine, actually. Apart from sister, who is stressed out over jobs. But it's not TOTALLY ruined Christmas.
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 18:51, Reply)
russian doll hotwater bottle?
is that a hot water bottle in another hot water bottle, etc...? Which one does the water go in?
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 18:54, Reply)
No, it's Russian doll-shaped.
With a cute cover.

I'm ace at present buying, though. Sister, mum and dad all loved theirs. Went shopping for my friend's 21st present- it's a joint effort, but so far she's getting: Sobranie Cocktails (super-posh fags), Absolut Vodka, a baby rhinestone-studded bottle of Moet, silk knickers, a silver locket, posh chocolates, a Kath Kidson mug and some things from Ann Summers.
I'm jealous of her :(
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 18:57, Reply)
woah! I'm pretty bad at it
I have great intentions then I just go to waterstones
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 18:58, Reply)
I love books. Didn't get any this year.
Have been reading Beowulf. Have to write an essay on it. Contemplating moving to Denmark when my degree is over.
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 19:00, Reply)
I had the Seamus Heaney translation of that, it was pretty cool
I didn't get any books this year, either, people never know what to get me, I think. Having worked in a bookshop, once, makes people assume I don't want books
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 19:03, Reply)
It's motherfucking parallel translation.
I'm thinking of starting old English next year.
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 19:04, Reply)
oh yeah, I forgot that
that was fun, too, reading through the old english
(, Mon 27 Dec 2010, 19:05, Reply)
It's fun, trying to work out which words are which
I'm finding all the references to God a little disconcerting, though.
