If you microwave your jacket spuds for 10 minutes (or however long they take)
And they drizzle a bit of olive oil over the skin and put it in the oven, it'll crisp up in no time at all, giving you the best of both worlds.

(, Fri 21 Jan 2011, 18:29, Reply)
are you ever not making cake?

(, Fri 21 Jan 2011, 18:30, Reply)
Quite frequently, yes
all that sleeping and working I do often gets in the way of being in the kitchen 24/7.
(, Fri 21 Jan 2011, 18:34, Reply)
What cake are you making this evening berk?

(, Fri 21 Jan 2011, 18:32, Reply)
Carrot cake
and possibly some lemon curd cookies if I can be arsed.
(, Fri 21 Jan 2011, 18:35, Reply)
And will the temptation be there to eat said cakes before you go to Montstock?

(, Fri 21 Jan 2011, 18:37, Reply)
No
I might steal a cookie if I end up making them, but someone brought cake in to work today so I'm all caked out.
(, Fri 21 Jan 2011, 18:42, Reply)

Seriously?
but...but... it's so easy! And it tastes so much nicer! Especially given how sickly all the cake I've tried in the US has been.

If you can get hold of the soup then give it a go. It's like a daal and very tasty.
(, Fri 21 Jan 2011, 18:33, Reply)
I imagine a potato baked in an oven tastes like a potato.
And that a potato cooked in a microwave tastes like....a potato.
(, Fri 21 Jan 2011, 18:33, Reply)
Yeah, but better
the skin goes all crunchy and tasty and the insides are mega fluffy and good. Microwaved spuds are limp and lame.
(, Fri 21 Jan 2011, 18:35, Reply)
what do you put on it?

(, Fri 21 Jan 2011, 18:36, Reply)
A little bit of butter
and then bake it in tinfoil for about 90 mins.
(, Fri 21 Jan 2011, 18:45, Reply)

CHEESE
