Oh great
another opportunity to start a thread that'll only get pity replies

I need a question...something about medical conditions? Or why I've not gone to sleep yet? Or why it's so hard to get work done at the weekend despite the fact it will make the rest of the week so much more bearable?

How are you coping with a lack of heating?

(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:30, Reply)
I'm cold, but less grumpy than I was
switching it off and on again is not fixing it.
(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:33, Reply)
Well if that fix doesn't work, I'm clean out of suggestions.

(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:36, Reply)
is your house rented? if so you could call your Landlord.
they might be able to sort it.
(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:41, Reply)
I've emailed
they might answer by next week, we'll see
(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:42, Reply)

How was the hot chocolate?

(, Sun 13 Feb 2011, 0:21, Reply)
tasty yet superfluous

(, Sun 13 Feb 2011, 0:22, Reply)
But you've got heat now?

(, Sun 13 Feb 2011, 0:24, Reply)
yup!
No idea why it stopped working, no idea if it will work again in the morning, so I'm leaving it on for half an hour or so just in case
(, Sun 13 Feb 2011, 0:28, Reply)
Foolishly
I started watching Sean of the Dead on the telly.

That'll be me staying up late now.

Yay for the heating though.

Are you going to put some of your photos on there as well?
(, Sun 13 Feb 2011, 0:37, Reply)

I thought about linking to my photo gallery but the danger is that it means that my photographer life becomes entwined with my b3ta 'life'
(, Sun 13 Feb 2011, 0:39, Reply)
What sort of photos do you usually take?

(, Sun 13 Feb 2011, 0:41, Reply)
all sorts of shit
my arty stuff is all conceptual nonsense about aliens and a bunch of pinhole photos attached to a story I wrote.

If I'm honest I've not done much properly the last few years. I have plans, though

I'm properly awake and stuff. Trying to work up the energy to go for a walk in the local wildlife reserve.

AND it's hard, because alllll you want to do on the weekends is veg out and recuperate.
(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:31, Reply)
Is the wildlife reserve full of snakes?

(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:32, Reply)
OK, that would be a reason not to go

(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:34, Reply)
ahaha just wear long trousers and strong shoes and make a bit of noise as you're walking and it's all good.

(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:35, Reply)
erm, yeah probably, they're around.
also Emus, Echidnas, Wombats and Koalas. And Kangaroos and wallabies.

I'm hoping there arent too many spiders though. I can handle everything else.

woah, it's like your in a foreign country or something

(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:37, Reply)
Your country is full and dangerous animals.
The best we've got is the swan. The swan it's claimed can break your arm.

I've never known anyone, or indeed read a news report, of this happening.
(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:38, Reply)

(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:38, Reply)
ahaha when I was visiting Noel we fed the swans at the river.
and this fucking MASSIVE one launched himself out the the water right in front of us - I was about half a metre away and backed off rather quickly!!
(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:39, Reply)
but animals are nice
and you guys have like cockatoos and things in the wild
(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:34, Reply)
mate there are cockatoos at my house,
and I fucking hate them in the spring - hundreds of them sit in the trees and squawk for hours.
(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:36, Reply)
but but but
they are way more impressive than sparrows. Although I do like sparrows
(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:38, Reply)
Sparrows are lovely.
We've got a family (again, I think there's a couple hundred of them - there's a lot of native trees where I live), that feed themselves on the leftover chicken grain.
(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:40, Reply)
Starlings are better
they're all glittery.
(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:41, Reply)

(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:40, Reply)

(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:42, Reply)
mmmm I bet.
I wouldn't mind being a lecturer if I can't get into pathology.
(, Sat 12 Feb 2011, 23:42, Reply)
it's the paperwork
and 'things you have to teach in the lesson that aren't actually your subject because the government says so' crap that I could do without, though.

The teaching bit is sweet.

I just watched Up In The Air

it's a genetic condition which means her body doesn't remove the excess through her excretory system, so it builds up, and can be quite dangerous.
