Sadly, the majority consider him incorrect on this occasion.

I've been in nursery all this week, it's great fun, you should try it.

You know what I'm doing? Nothing if this chest infection doesn't fuck off, that's what. Woe is me.

Ideas welcome.

You could try leaving it switch on 24/7 for a week and see if the thing overheats.
But the chances are, it won't.

I just don't really need it. Saying that I'm sure as soon as I move out of here and into somewhere that actually gets TV reception I'll be more than happy.

I feel sure you could do something with fuse wire - wrap it around a few components. It should last just about long enough to short something out without blowing something up. That or reverse the polarity on a nice big capacitor, switch the TV on while stood a long way away, then return the blackened capacitor to it's original state. The good bit about doing that is that it will probably take a few other bits along with it, rendering the thing un-fixable.
For something less explosive, pick one tiny diode, unsolder it and replace it the wrong way around. Should work, and it would be properly hard to find.

I'm totally chefing it up with an expermental cheesecake thinggy, made it up as I went along, one with a puff pastry base and the other with a shortcake base.

It's in old money because I'm old.
2oz butter
6oz digestives
Crush biscuits and melt butter, mix and use to make the base in an 8" flan case.
Small tub double cream
Tub of mascarpone cheese
2oz caster sugar
juice and rind of one lime
Dump all in bowl,
Mix
Will go all thick,
Put on top of base
Put in fridge for 30 minutes or so.

I've studded stem ginger in them too, very thin and light places as the flavour of it is soo strong.

I'm not too fond of baked cheese cake, and I've made this a bazillion times so I know it works.

I love both types of cheesecake, this I guess is half way between a custard tart and a cheesecake. I got a felling it would have been better with gelitine to help it set though, but we'll see.

I'm not being funny, but this is the nicest sweet dish I've ever made, really sharp and creamy and sweet.

And sling a bit of JD in with the cream and mascarpone mix!
