'Seriously Strong' cheddar
isn't.
(, Fri 11 Mar 2011, 12:43, 4 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
It is for the proles.

(, Fri 11 Mar 2011, 12:44, Reply)
So true.
It was reduced. Not reduced enough to make its lying name acceptable.

I bought some "Extra Mature" lake district "cheddar style" cheese
and I was most disappointed at how mild it was.

Sainsburys used to do a cheddar cheese that was so strong I actually didn't used to like it, but I suspect nowadays I would really enjoy it.

I like cheese so strong it makes my teeth itch.

This^
My worry is how do you know it has gone off though?
(, Fri 11 Mar 2011, 12:57, Reply)
Cheese doesn't go off
if the outside isn't mouldy then it's edible.
(, Fri 11 Mar 2011, 13:00, Reply)
You can just tell.
I have one of these:

My mother has one and swore by it, so I got my own - they're worth having.
(, Fri 11 Mar 2011, 13:00, Reply)
I had one of those
It just went all sweaty inside it
(, Fri 11 Mar 2011, 13:01, Reply)
You must have set the filter wrong
or not replaced it when you should have, I reckon.

Probably

He who shall not be mentioned brought some 'strong' cheese over from America one time.
It was shit. I've had stronger tasting goats cheese.
(, Fri 11 Mar 2011, 12:49, Reply)
There are some great American cheeses, but most are shite.
Canadians make some good cheddars.
(, Fri 11 Mar 2011, 12:52, Reply)

Marks'n'Sparks do a LEVEL 7 cheder, it's quite good, called "cornish cruncher".
I love the fact that marks'n'sparks have 'levels' for cheese.

The farmer's market next to my house has several cheese stalls,
you pay a lot for them but fuck me some of them are hardcore.
(, Fri 11 Mar 2011, 12:55, Reply)
I wouldn't know, I've never been invited to hold your hand while walking around the famers market and laughing at the phalic vegtables.

(, Fri 11 Mar 2011, 13:03, Reply)
Yeah you have, You told me you 'weren't ready to make that kind of commitment'
so I had my 'Gonz 4eva' tattoo lasered off. My forehead hurt for weeks.

REMEMBER????
(, Fri 11 Mar 2011, 13:05, Reply)
I never saw it, get it tatto'd back on, and then I'll tell you if I want you to keep it.

(, Fri 11 Mar 2011, 13:22, Reply)
I can't: my forehead's just one massive scar now, so they can't tattoo it.

(, Fri 11 Mar 2011, 13:06, Reply)
I've got a better chance of winning the lottery or having sushi tonight than getting my hands on one of those golden tickets.
