if the tennis coach- shagging OTer was to go mental, would it qualify as Berk Psychosis?
I am so sorry.

I noticed Fiona was reading the 6 o'clock news this evening.
Did you record it?
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 21:40, Reply)
No, both my hands were occupied.

(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 21:42, Reply)
There is always the (japs)i-player if you want to watch it again.

(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 21:43, Reply)
No need.
I have the shrine.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 21:43, Reply)
Go to the doctors.
They'll give you some cream for it.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 21:45, Reply)
they will give me lube?
Last thing I need.

And if the tennis coach started oscillating, he'd be her Pendulum Man.

(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:02, Reply)
if she left, she would be an absent friend.

(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:05, Reply)
It could result in a street scene, but in the end it'd be all eyes and smiles loom big shot fingerspit.

(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:07, Reply)
you win.
They were fantastic, only just discovered them. Proto post rock, but quiet and reflective rather than noodly, apocalyptic or early Mogwai noisy.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:13, Reply)
If you like them, you might like Seefeel too - same era, similar musical territory.

(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:18, Reply)
i know Seefeel.
Warp, right? Do you know The For Carnation? Slint are one of my favourite bands.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:19, Reply)
Nope. Any good?
Also, I think Seefeel were on Too Pure to start with rather than Warp.

ed- Yes, the first album was on Too Pure, the second was on Warp.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:20, Reply)
very.
Their singer sang in Slint. Check out moonbeams by TFC on YouTube.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:21, Reply)
they were definitely on Warp.

(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:22, Reply)
Where's that from?
I'm listening to Ratatat at the moment
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:26, Reply)
Bark Psychosis.
Seminal post rock band.

Edit: you should also listen to Moonbeams by The For Carnation.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:27, Reply)
They're track names from Bark Psychosis's album "Hex".

(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:27, Reply)
Thanks both
worth sticking on playlist?
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:30, Reply)
Worth a go.
Out of all their pieces "Pendulum Man" is my favourite, it's very spaced-out and really quite beautiful.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:35, Reply)
It was relaxing
a touch too bland for me. I'm liking the loom though
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:43, Reply)
What sort of music are you into?
(That someone 'older' might know)
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:44, Reply)
No one genre
currently I'm listening to a lot of electro, and electro-rock, as well as classic rock and a bit of classical music
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:49, Reply)
I'm into post rock at the moment.
And vintage mid 90s hip hop.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:50, Reply)
I like some post-rock
but you can keep all the hip-hop. Whoop Whoop!
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:50, Reply)
I meant abstract instrumental hip hop
Like DJ Shadow, Psychonauts and DJ Cam.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:55, Reply)
Not a clue I'm afraid
doesn't sound like my type of thing
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 22:56, Reply)

Building Steam With a Grain of Salt.

A former workplace sometimes put that station on the tannoy in the small hours.
It was a big improvement on the usual station, where you'd hear "(boom) here's m'key... philosophy... ay freak like me... j's needs infinitsee... hee hee heeeeeee hee heeeeeee hee heeeeeee hee heeeee" up to 12 times per shift.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 23:01, Reply)
I quite like all of the Absolute Radio stations.
The Geoff Lloyd show at 5pm is a particular favourite.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 23:07, Reply)
