I nearly wrote oi oi, but I went for the Bonjella option.
Well my goodness, congratulations on your two big nugget occasions!
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:13, 1 reply, 15 years ago)
Thank you.
Whats been occurring with you?
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:13, Reply)
When were you last here?
I doubt much has happened since then. Hoping to have eloped to Edinburgh by the end of the year though. Scary but exciting.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:15, Reply)
GET IN!!!
Edinburgh? It will be fantastic.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:16, Reply)
Hope so.
If they have no jobs for us we'll try London.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:21, Reply)
Good luck!
And I need to get my arse in gear and get to Liverpool for afternoon tea before you disappear.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:22, Reply)
Oh I'll be procrastinating for ages.
Still don;t have a CV!
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:26, Reply)
Bobby's yer man.
Having said that, I haven't even had one reply since I started sending out my Bobby-updated CV. Though this might have more to do with me being unemployable...

So, you'll still be there in September then?
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:37, Reply)
Did you ever apply to Aardman? I thought that they might have offered the sort of work you were looking for.

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:37, Reply)
hmm, is he....
Ta sis.
I'm lazy. I look at DiT's CV every now and again, then get overwhelmed and look at lolcats instead.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:39, Reply)
Try and get a spot with these people

You could dazzle people with your knowledge of television from the 80s.

Oct or Nov I think
Edinburgh is where we got married - it's a great place.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:17, Reply)
I wouldn't mind getting married there as well.
At the risk of repeating old news we OMG got engaged in November.
Just nod if you already knew.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:20, Reply)
I did not know this - many congratulations!

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:21, Reply)
I'm not pregnant though.
You can have that one all to yourself.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:26, Reply)
Correct me if I'm wrong,
but I think that now covers the Entire Fucking World who knows about the Engagement...
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:27, Reply)
hahahaha

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:29, Reply)
We haven't told Albert in Australia, actually.
Maybe Poppet would oblige.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:33, Reply)
Edinburgh is one of the few cities that I think I could happily live in.

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:18, Reply)
Ditto, and I've only been once!

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:19, Reply)
It's certainly in the right country, but it's no Glasgow.

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:20, Reply)
I'm from somewhere a little more sophisticated than Glasgow ;)

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:21, Reply)
I beg to differ.
But then, I'm biased, as I fucking love Glasgow.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:23, Reply)
Same
Probably my favourite city, which says a lot
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:27, Reply)
Does Glasgow have a pier?

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:29, Reply)
I sense a meme I am unaware of

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:31, Reply)
b3th spends every spare minute she has on the new pier at Weston Super Mare.

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:32, Reply)
and why wouldn't I?
It's fucking ace.

You know what? Bobby's here with a class full of brats tomorrow. I might just kidnap him and get him on the pier.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:34, Reply)
Bob is going to be covered in the vomit of 50 travel-sick kids.

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:36, Reply)
Just a typical night out for him

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:37, Reply)
No, but it has a boat that's a nightclub
which was, as a student spot, pretty fun.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:32, Reply)
Clubs on boats are for whooers

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:33, Reply)
OMG SO DID NEWCASTLE!
It's moved now, though.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:33, Reply)
I have also been to Glasgow
but prefer Edinburgh, tbh. I like the compactness of the place.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:27, Reply)
I lived there for three years
and found everything to be ten minutes away from everything else, whether on foot or by train.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:29, Reply)
That's why I like it.
Newcastle is similar in that respect.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:31, Reply)
I was talking about Glasgow, sorry.
Edinburgh is a pig of a place. All hills and tourists.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:32, Reply)
STOPPIT!

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:33, Reply)
TIDYUP!

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:34, Reply)
"MWAAAARP"

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:37, Reply)
We were talking about your wedding on saturday night
me and DiT are going to kilt up for it.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:34, Reply)

kilt lez
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:40, Reply)
That's weird, because Newcastle is a place all pigs and hills.

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:34, Reply)
I liked Newcastle
I had a really nice visit there a couple of years ago. The waterfront is very nice.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:35, Reply)
I like it.
The Quayside has been transformed beyond all recognition over the last 20 years. When I was a student I did a bit of photography, which included a view of the river looking up towards what is now the Baltic art gallery and Sage. Dereliction everywhere. I curse my ex father in law for throwing my old portfolio away in a drunken act of pisswankery, as I'd love to take a shot today from the same vantage point.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:40, Reply)
5 mins walk from work
Waterline Friday lunchtime pints FTW
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:43, Reply)
That's what I miss about working in town.
I've been stuck on a business park in Newburn for the last 7 years. Not exactly within easy walking distance of a pub for such things. A Friday pint at the Centurion before getting the train home was a welcome attraction at the end of the week.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:54, Reply)
If you find yourself in town during the week I'll catch you for a pint sir

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:59, Reply)
Unlikely at the moment
but thank you for the offer.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 12:22, Reply)
I struggle with the number of tourists - probably as it's a small city so more difficult to avoid them
One of the strangest parts of the wedding was coming out of the cathedral after the ceremony and having tourists take photos of us
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:29, Reply)
Dude, London... there's no escaping the forrin bastards.

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:32, Reply)
They seem easier to avoid as London is so much bigger

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:33, Reply)
Liverpool's similar.
Even at the end of my road the taxi tours stop to take photos of Paul and Macca's school, and to be fed blarney by the driver.
(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:35, Reply)
Liverpool has a school?

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 11:36, Reply)
It's a portakabin with some magnetic letters on the walls
