It's a luxury

My parents had one growing up
it was my job to loads and unload it. Then when I moved in with my aunt and uncle when I was older they had one, the idiots used to wash the dishes before they put them in so they didn't block the filter. What a waste of time, water, soap and energy.

The trick with the pans is to wash them right after you empty them
Whilst the meat is resting. That way they are still really hot and nothing has dried on to them yet. Same with saucepans, if you wash them right after you empty them it takes seconds. After I have cooked and served dinner there only the plates and glasses left to do.
