Just got in.
Skim reading, it looks like I missed a cracker of a day.

Any particular highlights I should look for?

I was here.

Busy day at the office hon?
*passes gin and tonic*
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:36, Reply)
Yeah, proper mental.
New project innit. I've never worked with actuaries before, I really need to do some research into complex maths.

Saying that, I've no idea how long I'll be on this project for, so there is no point filling my head with things I don't need to know!
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:41, Reply)
Never mind dear.
Take off your shoes and have a wank.
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:42, Reply)
I've taken my shoes off. And had a shower.
I'm not down with this 'going to a office to work' thing. I much preferred that 'working from home' thing and doing what I wanted.

Oh well, the money is good, so I can't complain too much.

I have low expectations.
You should know this by now.

I totally got on a list for a trip to the amazon
but no one cares and I'm excited about it and want someone to go "wow! that sounds pretty neat!" but they haven't :(
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:42, Reply)
Woo! a tour of an online bookshop warehouse!
I'm thrilled for you.

(Seriously though, that sounds fantastic, tell me more about it. I'm excited no your behalf).
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:43, Reply)
someone already made that joke :)
It's an educational environmental kind-of thing. I'm just on the list as yet, but hopefully they will contact me at some point then BAM! I'm signing up! I'm scared of snakes, but I'm not going to let that stop me
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:45, Reply)
Good for you.
Apologies for the obvious joke

How will you be navigating the Amazon?
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:46, Reply)
I don't know any more about it
it's a regular thing - they take a bunch of people out there to learn about the place and about environmental things so we all come back and rant to everyone else about saving the planet
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:50, Reply)
if I'm honest it's at a pretty damn preliminary stage
I'm just over excited and getting ahead of myself
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:51, Reply)
Err....
Can't you just read about it online, and then tell people about it, rather than FLYING half-way round the world and creating a massive carbon foot-print.
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:51, Reply)
that was one of the arguments against it
but experiencing things and watching things are different
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:52, Reply)
I'm just joking with you.
If you get the chance to go, you should take it.

You might even be able to invent a larping game to play when you're over there.
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:54, Reply)
I'll get the local tribes to join in!

(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:58, Reply)
You could set them against each other.
It would be real-life larping as they start lobbing spears at each other.
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 20:00, Reply)
spears with foam tips, though

(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 20:06, Reply)
I'm scared of everything but it doesn't stop me leaving the house each day.

She's been nothing since she stoppped working with Alistair McGowan.

(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:49, Reply)
McGowan is possibly one of the worst impressionists ever.
He always sounds like Alistair McGowan doing an impression of someone else, which is never a good start.

Not as bad as that radio ventriloquist in the 20's who, on the advent of television, was rapidly discovered to be an utter fraud and subsequently had his career destroyed in seconds.
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:53, Reply)
hahahaha

(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:54, Reply)
It's true.
I wish I could remember his name, but I saw a clip of him a while back and he made no attempt at all to stop his lips moving. All I could think was "Live radio audiences must have been really fucking thick".

(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:47, Reply)
We get one day a year when the ants start to fly.
It's a horible day.
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:49, Reply)

Sadly, flying ant day isn't unique to DogFucker Towers, otherwise I'd sell tickets for it.

His reaction seems a bit harsh.
I'd be amazed if everyone found someone elses' other half attractive. Some people have a 'type' they find attractive, others don't.

different stokes for different folks and all that.
