It's f'cking shameful, I don't even know if you could "Lock them all up", that there are so many of them.
I'd say they should use Rubber Bullets, but it would fan the fire and give them a political-level voice and grounds if someone does get hurt seriously. They've turned on ambulances and fireman too, if anyone I knew was involved, I'd be so utterly ashamed that I'd actually dob them in, but unfortunatly these people probably come from families that are at best indifferent and at worst activily encouridging.

It's fucking shameful to those around the world who are protesting for freedoms against tyrany too.

I hope they're working very very closesly with Facebook, Twitter and all the other places these people are using to congigrate.

Rumour has it, before the end of the day, BBM and Twitter are both being suspended.
That's fine by me.
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:02, Reply)
..and that's how we begin
to hand over our civil liberties
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:06, Reply)
If suspending them means we can save millions of pounds, I'm fine with it.

(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:09, Reply)
Would we really be that much worse off without fucking Twitter?

(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:10, Reply)
I MUST KNOW WHAT JOEY BARTON THINKS ABOUT THE RIOTS

(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:11, Reply)
He's probably in the middle of one already.

"This is Joey Barton, si-hang on *headbutts* signing off."

(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:18, Reply)
Joey Barton is a stupid cunt lols
Possibly the easiest, and yet most consistently reliable, of all the lols
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:21, Reply)
I'm loving his current meltdown
Very entertaining
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:25, Reply)
I think your lot should sign him
Whoever wins the subsequent training ground ruckus between him and Cattermole gets to be psycho-in-residence
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:32, Reply)
The thought of Bellamy playing for Sunderland against Newcastle in 10 days is quite entertaining
I hate him but he is a good player
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:34, Reply)
That'll get spicy
Didn't know you were after him
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:36, Reply)
Loan for a year I think
Him and Adam Johnson would be most excellent!

I'm sticking £5 on Newcastle to go down this season.
Odds are currently at 11/2.
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:33, Reply)
It could well happen
Getting rid of their three best players (4 when Enrigue leaves) and replacing them with 2nd Div French players doesn't look like great business. And Ba has knees made out of balsa
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:35, Reply)
I quite fancy Norwich and QPR to stay up this season
Newcastle, Blackburn, Wigan and Villa have spent their pre-season weakening their teams ready for a relegation scrap. Swansea will sink without trace, obv.
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:37, Reply)
Swansea are 4/7 to go down
Not even worth the bet!
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:39, Reply)
can you give me a warning when this happens
so I can not leave my house for a week or so?
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:43, Reply)
You'll be able to hear me laughing from there

(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:55, Reply)
QPR will go down
They haven't spent any money and someone will nick Taaaaaaaaaaaarabbbbbbbbbbt in January or the end of the window
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:44, Reply)
Hope so
Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke if it does

I thought it was about stopping the test but it turns out to be about last night, presumably since they're Asian there were fears they'd join in get beaten unconscious by riot police.

Thanks for the info sir

Hey AA, have you seen how many people have signed up for the B3ta fantasy football league?
There were five pages of teams last time I checked.

Fucking hell!

(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 11:11, Reply)
not at all
but it's the trend to suspend things which is (potentially) a bad precedent. I think we just have to be careful we don't go "hey! government, do what you like to stop these dudes...no of course I don't mind you shafting me up the ass..yeah, just this once."
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:13, Reply)
kinky

(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:13, Reply)
Won't work, too many other places to congigrate online.
RIM (who make BBM) might suspend BBM, as they've done that before. But Twitter has seen much much worst.

I reckon if I was Tommy Robinson, I'd mobilise the English Defence League against the riots.
They would be political heros, and love every minuite of it.
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:08, Reply)
Put something similar as my status last night -
"Quick question. Why aren't the EDL defending England? After all, that's what they're here for, right?"
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:19, Reply)
Exactly.

(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:49, Reply)
...except 90% of the EDL are almost certainly involed the rioting.
Kind of an issue there.
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:25, Reply)
can't loot if they're busy defending England

(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:35, Reply)
Yah', totally, at least in the non-london parts, as the london lot seem to be...ermmm... "Racially and [age wise] opposed to the EDL's idioligy in an unprinciple manor".
But this is a good thing, because they'd get to be involved in the ruckus while looking like heros, and it would move some people from the rioter's side to the general public's side.
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:41, Reply)
what the fuck are you talking about, Gonz?
you're seriously telling me that you think race and religion has anything to do with this? If the majority of rioters in London are black or Asian, it's because - surprise - a high proportion of the youth population of those areas are black and Asian.
(, Tue 9 Aug 2011, 10:45, Reply)
No, I don't think race or religion have anything to do with this...
... what I mean is, a bunch of black and asian kids aren't going to be EDL exactly. I'm not saying all the rioters were black, that's not the point I'm trying to make. The point I'm trying to make is that I doubt the youths involves are EDL, however, it wouldn't supprise me if there _are_ edl members rioting in the other inner-city riots. So, when you implied that the EDL was involved in the rioting, I was saying that in the case of London, they probably wern't.
