I've been up since 5am
Curse this lack of sleep.

On the plus side. England have just scored a try!
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 7:05, 53 replies, latest was 14 years ago)
Why can't you sleep?
Not sleeping properly is shit.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 7:41, Reply)
I just woke up early.
I'll have a nap later. 'Tis fine.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 7:59, Reply)
The bairn gets up about 6 every day.
Then about 8 she's all "I'm tired, daddy".
She knows it's because she gets up early, but it still happens.
My tiredness, on the other hand, is because she gets up early.

Morning Jeff. I don't really care about burly men grappling, I'm afraid.

Morning Lighty.
I might go out for breakfast. What do you think of that?
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 8:19, Reply)
I think it's a model plan for a Sunday Morning
and I may well follow your lead.

But probably around 11 so it counts as lunch too /frugal
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 8:23, Reply)
I'm thinking I might have what I had yesterday.
2 sausages, 2 bacon, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, 2 fried eggs, fried bread and a hash brown. With a coffee.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 8:38, Reply)
If I go to the cafe they have several options
If I go to the pub it'll be nicer but there's only the one breakfast.
Decisions decisions.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 10:03, Reply)
The second fried egg always gets me
I really struggle after it
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 10:29, Reply)
i want that
for breakfast, but I'm feeling lardy so i guess it's muesli again
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:11, Reply)

(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 8:17, Reply)
Are you listening to it Gonz?
I've got to say, I've never heard of Mr Pip - what sort of music does he play.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 8:19, Reply)
Beat poetry

(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 8:23, Reply)
Yup !
He's a poet turned rapper, so it's mostly hip-hop, this new album is quite rocky, but his lyrics are really inspired. He never does the "I'm going to speak so hard so no one can understand me because my lyrics are shit", never does the "I'm so amazing and great and everyone else is shit (except maybe three songs in total)" and he never does the "I have big cars and rings and lots of money" thing eaither.

Here are a couple of songs of his that I like, that give a good range of his sort of thing
- www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KnGNOiFll4 - Letters from God, to man.
- www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoN6XfyQsr4&feature=related - Thou Shalt Always Kill
- www.youtube.com/watch?v=VH9CxM6o-eI - Magician's Assistant

The new album is a lot more rocky though. I'm listening to it now so can't say weather I love it, with hip hop it takes me quite a few listens to know if I like it or not 'cus I can't always gather the lyrics the first time... but so far I'm enjoying it.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 8:31, Reply)
He's pretty good. Dan Le Sac is a good glitch producer too.
And yeah, more of a spoken word artist than a rapper. Thou Shalt Always Kill was a great record back in the day.

It's Sunday.
Today should be spent either in the pub or having a roast dinner or going for a walk along the canal or going to brick lane.
Today should not involve a 12 hour shift.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 10:50, Reply)
Poor Lusty. It's not fair!!
Hope your shift goes well.

Is Monters about?
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 10:56, Reply)
He's with his daughter until this afternoon.
Then I think he's cheating on you with his friend.

(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:05, Reply)
His friend Chris

I'm sorry you had to find out this way.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:11, Reply)
I won't pretend it doesn't hurt.

(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:14, Reply)
It always hurts

(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:31, Reply)
That's what happens if you always go in dry.

(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:34, Reply)
morning all
i woke up too early, too, but made up for it by staying in bed reading for hours. Today I shall use the power of the netbook to hang around a coffee shop doing work and pretending I'm important or something.

so does this mean the rugby is done for today?
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:05, Reply)

I've just woken up because my new house is fucking freezing.
I'm sitting here shaking. We can't work out to get the heating on and I don't have a duvet yet, just a towel. I feel close to death.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:26, Reply)
get out
go to asda
buy duvet and hot chocolate
win
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:28, Reply)
I've not not looked for one.
I've been in town the last two days trying to buy one. But nowhere has a duck down one, only hollowfibre duvets which are shit, I'd rather not have one. I'm going to Ikea in half hour to grab a good one, and also a natty cover for it.
EDIT - Actually you've just reminded me that I do have hot chocolate downstairs, hazzah!
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:33, Reply)
If you're too picky to just buy something to keep you warm
then stop whinging, put some clothes on, and go for a jog.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:35, Reply)
this
if you don't find a good one today, just get a shit one until you do. Otherwise no sympathy
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:39, Reply)
I'm not going to get a shit one and then buy a good one when I find one.
I can't afford it. Argos has a 13.5 tog duck down duvet for 30 quid but they're out of stock in every Newcastle branch.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:42, Reply)
I think bedding is the one thing on the planet I'm picky about.
I don't think it's worth just getting 'anything' seeing as you'll be conceding your own long term comfort in the process.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:41, Reply)
the ONE thing?!!!
except shoes, jackets...everything else
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:42, Reply)
Perhaps.
Either way there's no chance I'm getting a shit one. My housemates' have shit ones from Primark, I may have had an awful night's sleep last night but I'm going to be the smug one soon enough.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:47, Reply)
Go to John Lewis
It's in the city centre and it's open today and you can buy your duck down duvet that you so covet.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:50, Reply)
It'll be too expensive from there.
I'm going to Ikea/the Metro Centre in a sec and getting it from there.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:51, Reply)
Alright Barry?
You know Liquid Liquid? I currently have this here tune playing on my technics...

www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRDCp2M0PUc

Very subtle remix. Liquid Liquid were about in the very early 80s, hence the post punk/ disco sound.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:58, Reply)
Never heard of them.
That track is ace though, I've just added it to my "Liam's Disco Sounds" playlist on Youtube. That's no mean feat, a song has to be a belter to make it onto there.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 12:18, Reply)
In that case, look up Optimo by them.
And Cavern.

Or this, on Wolf & Lamb

I am going to have a steak for breakfast.
Or I might wait a bit and have lamb chops with pesto mash and spinach.
Then I might have a Bloody Mary.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 11:59, Reply)
I got a half decent lie in..
..but was woken up by my youngest to come downstairs and see an advert for a Mickey Mouse workbench he wants for Xmas. I guess the countdown begins here.

I've got some time before the football double bill to get some homework done (if only I'd left work two minutes early on Friday and missed that client call, bah!), so I best leave this black hole of a place. (for now, it's not a flounce as it would be an utterly shit one (if indeed it's not a flounce))
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 12:07, Reply)
A Mickey Mouse workbench
Sounds like a sure fire way for him to become a cowboy builder.

Had breakfast.
Was still a bit hungry afterwards, so I had a Topic bar, as I've not had one in years.

I then went for a pint.

Oh man, it's offical, I can't eat steak.
My insides are really really hurting today =((((((((((

Bad times Gonz.
Have you got some pills to take the pain away?
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 12:52, Reply)
Yeah', but not many, I've doubled up my methadone and taken a second dose of morphine...
... I got one dose of morphine left, so I can have that tonight or tomo morning. I only got two more doses of methadone too, of which I can only get moer on tuesday. They last 24 hours though so I should be OK on that account. The morphine though is quite short, but I can get more tomo morning.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 12:57, Reply)
IF it gets much worst I'll get a hot water bottle and the TENS machine out.
I like the hot water bottle, but it gives me second degree burns with how hot I have it.
