Somebody, please, just knuckle down and do a decent, big budget version of the proper fucking story.

He said it was ace and I had to see it. That was about three years ago, and I still haven't got round to it yet.

He said it was excellent. I keep meaning to book it when it comes round but never do.

I was absolutely terrified. But the pictures were nice.

My Dad brought it back from Germany and played it to me. I thought it was fucking brilliant. I had it on tape for yonks, and it was the first CD I ever bought.

The 1950's version, whilst not perfect, was OK. The new version was an opportunity to do a proper take on the original story, and they decided not to. The fighting machines were quite impressive, but that's about it.

I liked the original, although I confess to not having read the book. Always meant to.

It's not bad, and it's fairly faithful to the book I think, although TBH I cannot remember how it ends. The book starts with one of the best lines ever: "The Time Traveller (for so it will be convenient to speak of him) was expounding a recondite matter to us."

I also enjoyed the Invisible Man. Apparently there's a remake in the works. It'll probably be awful.

was an amazingly depressing book I thought. Excellent, but depressing.
If you can get your hands on "A Modern Utopia" it's well worth the read. It's astonishing how far ahead of his time Wells was.
