Is that it till Monday morning now?
What's going on with everybody today/over the weekend? This time next week we'll totally be bashing up the pier!

Alt: What's wrong with the youth of today?

Off out tonight to an engagement do with Mrs Cow
Not much else sorted for the weekend but pizzas tonight = happy cow

Not on weekend taxi duty? Or have the kids been farmed off on someone else for the weekend?

(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 16:39, Reply)
My Mam and Dad are out ours until we return sideways tonight
Nowt else planned. You?
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 16:40, Reply)
Not really.
I meant to start work this week and never bothered my arse to do it, so I might be persuaded to do something this weekend. And I have to apply for a couple of jobs so Jeff doesn't shout at me.

Sick as a dog
I predict this will last until Sunday. Then I'll have to begrudgingly shift myself, because a friend will be staying for a couple of days, and a gig on Monday.

I hope this drastic dieting hasn't fucked your immune system.
Make sure you keep warm and rested. That usually helps your body to repair itself.

huddling on a sofa. Might be stress, my sister is really upset at the moment
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 17:27, Reply)
i think I meant to go out with some friends for
curry tomorrow. But other than that it's all house things and mortgage things and work things. Someone better be on here to help me procrastinate.

Christ, I need to get out more.

(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 16:50, Reply)
I hear some of it is quite pretty
specifically, the bits without other people in it.

did they say why? Any indication that they might accept a different offer, or did they go with someone else?
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 16:58, Reply)
there is 'anohter offer on the table'
which is apparently over 90k. I could in theory offer that, but any more and the repayments get crazy. the agent is trying to convince me that it's worth 110k. Pretty sure that's bollocks
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 16:59, Reply)
Pretty sure he's just thinking about his commission.
I give it till Monday before he comes back to you and says the buyers have changed their minds.

In the meantime, check out what their competitors have on the books.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 17:02, Reply)

and have a look. All very exciting stuff

(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 17:09, Reply)

(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 16:41, Reply)
Yeah the return is £250ish which is a bitch but still that's a decent price.

(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 16:42, Reply)

Sushi meal to belatedly celebrate Ms Foxtrot's 30th tomorrow
The whole family will be there. Both sets of parents and three sisters. This is not normally a problem. Factor in Ms Foxtrot's 91-year-old staunchly Catholic grandmother and her famously conservative viewpoint on everything and we might just be in for a Curb Your Enthusiasm-style crackerjack of an afternoon.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 16:46, Reply)
Does that mean both sets of her parents,
or hers and yours too?
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 16:47, Reply)
Both of hers
I find it astonishingly hard to believe that her Mum and Dad were ever married. You'd never suggest that they should even be friends if you met them.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 16:51, Reply)
Mmmmmm, sisters.

(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 16:49, Reply)
Mmmmmmm indeed
Took me quite some time to learn to think of them as sisters myself
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 16:52, Reply)
I'm sure they looked on you as a sister pretty quickly

Take this from me, many of them no longer understand the idea of self reliance or success. There is a dearth of ambition or understanding.
P.S- Yep, I returned. I think its time I stopped Trolololing and stared respecting y'all.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 16:50, Reply)
Take the recent "riots" as an example.
Stealing from Cash Converters and pound shops.

No aspiration.

I've booked a table for our wedding anniversary tonight
It should be fun but the missus is shit at snooker.

*returns gag to Les Dawson*

The only other thing I have planned is scanning some old photos using my shiny new printer/scanner/copier.

I am neither treky nor lesbian
also - that photographer has used way too wide angle lens for those pictures
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 17:12, Reply)
They certainly are lookers.
Mostly what they look like is each other.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 17:14, Reply)
What's your opinion on the use of Fisheye lenses there?

(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 18:33, Reply)
that's what I mean
fish-eye is basically a term for a very wide angle lens. I don't think that one is quite fish-eye, but it's close and it's fucking with perspective and has left a lot of distortion round the edge. I've seen that done a lot on wedding shot, I think it looks pretty shit, but there are practical reasons why they may have done it, ie lack of space
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 18:38, Reply)
Classy on so many levels.

(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 17:14, Reply)
have those photos been gnopped?

i've got to complete an online good clinical practice course
for my new job, because if I leave it much longer it won't get food before I start, which would be an incredibly poor first impression to make. it looks depressingly long and tedious though. oh and I need I haircut. it's all rock n roll here. *sigh*
the youth of today are incredibly rude. this has been abruptly brought home to me by it being freshers week this week. if i'd had manners like some of these kids my mum would have kneecapped me before I even started senior school.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 17:38, Reply)
sounds mighty dull
students always get overexcited and self important in freshers' week, perhaps they'll chill out
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 17:40, Reply)
birmingham is a redbrick though
it therefore attracts a higher percentage of pretentious cunts, especially since the building I work in is attached to the medschool. mind you, the pretentious cuntery is going to be many many times worse at oxford.

My hair needs cutting too. I can't believe how long it's got in the last few months.
And children today have no fucking manners whatsoever.
Well, obviously some do, but the majority of them don't seem to appreciate teh need for manners, respect or politeness. Bastards.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 17:44, Reply)
Yep.

(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 17:46, Reply)
This reminds me I need a haircut

(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 18:46, Reply)
I find bad manners is one of my biggest turn-offs.
It's not hard to say 'please' and 'thank you', it's not hard to acknolidge someone when they stand to the side to let you pass. There is no excuse for rudeness, I don't care how shit a day someone might be having.

I swear ASDA is the worst place for this.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 18:32, Reply)
You're not wrong.
ASDA is full of fat, rude employed chavs. All the unemployed chavs in Weston shop in Tesco.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 19:00, Reply)
Even if someone put 100 pugs, myself and my Ma' and Nancy Form Hollyoaks in there..... and they launched a nuclear bomb at the place.... it would still be a win for humanity.

(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 19:04, Reply)
I never understood the fetish for pug dogs.
They're not really good-looking animals, they're not big enough to play properly with, and people like Paris Hilton like them.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 19:07, Reply)
Here's one case for them.
