I'm fairly sure that the people at the site will not be paying rent or tax
As I am paying both, I'm pissed off that they've found a way to get away with it, and I haven't!

But I likely pay more tax than you.
Does that mean you are my bitch?
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 16:40, Reply)
No.
And it's likely that everyone on here who earns pays more tax than I do, but it's still a pain in the arse that I have to, and they aren't.
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 16:41, Reply)
Well it's a pain to me you don'pay as much as I do.
To me, you fall in the same category as a non-paying gyppo.

My monthly tax deductions make me cry a little bit

(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 16:47, Reply)
Mine make me vomit.
Nearly 2 grand last month.
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 16:49, Reply)
Ouch...although if you pay that every month then you can't be too hard off
So why do you live in lewisham?
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 16:52, Reply)
The question I avoided asking.

(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 16:54, Reply)
It's not cheap where I live.
Two bed house is 300 grand.

I am recently divorced.
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 16:56, Reply)
Sorry to hear that/pleased you escaped
delete and appropriate.

It seems know is cheap anymore, unless you brave the cultural desert of the North
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 17:00, Reply)
I could move out of town and buy somewhere nice. I might yet.

(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 17:01, Reply)
We are looking Hants, Berks, Sussex
which are not cheap counties, but i could still get a little cottage with a garden for the price of my flat...but then where do i work? Commuting costs a fortune and I'd have to kill myself if I worked in 'Reading' or 'basingstoke' etc
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 17:04, Reply)
It's likely I don't pay as much because I don't earn as much.

(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 16:49, Reply)
That's the North for you, or you are just a bit shit

(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 16:50, Reply)
Stuck in a shit industry
But it's shown itself to be utterly recession proof, so whilst I'm not exactly earning a great wage, I can be certain that I'm not going to lose my job anytime soon.
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 16:55, Reply)
True.
I was just highlighting the irrational link between paying rent/tax and disliking/feeling hard done by them.

Much better to hate them because they smell and talk funny.
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 16:55, Reply)
I dislike people on very high salaries
who pay a smaller percentage of their income in tax than I do.
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 16:57, Reply)
Me too. It's fucking criminal.
And companies like Vodafone that pile all their money offshore. See Barclays, Tesco etc etc.
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 17:00, Reply)
No, if you pay tax at all, you're all equal, doesn't matter how much you earn in ratio to what you pay because the system is whatever the system is.
It's those who aren't paying anything that you can look down on, however, if you want to have degrees of rightous indignation, the more you pay into the system (in ratio to work done), the more you can look down on them.
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 16:44, Reply)
Rubbish.
The system is not equitable.
