Right, question.
Supper, to some people, appears to refer to a snack you have late at night before you go to bed.
Professional Opinion?

Most civilised people follow that definition. In Northern Britain it means +chips

But my supper was a chocolate brownie. I'm having a cuppa now to wash it down.

See, I only heard it referred to as this when I went to Australia
Previously in my northern opinion, supper is just a tautology for dinner, or tea.

it used to be
if you remember your enid blyton, they would have dinner in the middle of the day, then tea at 5ish, then supper. one of which sticks in my mind to this day because it was sliced bananas covered with sugar and cream. how were her characters not 178 stone, eating that before bed?!
but these days i think it just means a later evening meal to most people.

Supper for us as children
would be milk or tea, and fruit or whatever before bed. But we called the evening meal dinner, rather than tea.
The famous five would be enormous hefters these days

Also, because they were all having vigorous group sex with Timmy the dog.

50p can't even get you a Yorkie these days.
Which I think is a tragedy.
Also, you know what annoys me, to keep prices the same manufacturers are just making food smaller. I bought a pork pie yesterday and it was only about an inch an a half across, and at some point they can't make things any smaller without people just going "What the fuck is this?" so they'll put up the price and then people will surely go "Why am I paying more for such a tiny pie?" it just seems very short termist, when if they had slightly increased the cost a while ago we could still be buying decent sized pies and chocolate bars.
I had korean food last night, it was nice but really expensive for what it was.
