Generic Evening Thread
I just had a lovely opiet-enduced nap, my back hurts again, I'm gonna get me some iburpirphohapohoain cream for that. I had lunch at Morrisons and you know what? It was fucking good for a supermarket, I wouldn't be upset if I got that in a pub or cafe, fish'n'chips, but the fish was freshly fried to order. I'm not sure for my collegue's secret santa to get her a USB stick that i'll fill with some films, or buy her a dvd. I got a fucking lovely home made onion soup with emingtile-on-artisan-bread cruitons for dinner and some cheese'n'crackers'n'truffle-honey'n'chili-jelly for afters.

I was innocently googling and found this NSFW video: www.pornhub.com/view_video.php?viewkey=2101280992

I made a mistake with my dates, I'm completing on thursday and meeting up with the doer-uppers on friday, but friday I got the work christmas do, I think they'll understand if I can't go. I thought it was saturday I was meeting everyone.

Anyone been watching Terror Nova? I'm quite enjoying it in a mindless sort of way, it's a bit like Lost only with dinosaurs. I'm gonna start American Horror Story next week too.

I'm relaxing in a very posh hotel room, watching shit Saturday night telly.
I'm tired.

So, how is everybody?

oh lar-de-dar, sounds good. What's that all about then?
I'm doing good.

I'm sharing a hotel room with Roota, Gonz.
We have alcomahol.

Oh my dayz, two of my favorite as-yet-to-meet women getting drunk together in a posh hotel room.
Even though I'm not there, the thought alone has made my christmas.

I am a couple of steps closer to owning a house today. Not long now.

i've just been waiting for my driving license
for ID for the mortgage (it was in my married name). It got here this morning and yesterday all the solicitor's searches came back. I've done all the signing and giving in of those, now I wait a bit more.

You got a date for moving into yours yet?
(, Sat 3 Dec 2011, 19:45, Reply)

My move-day is the 28th, completing on thursday =DDD

Evening folks ;)
This afternoon, by way of hangover therapy, I've cooked aubergine and potato curry, mattar paneer, tandoori chicken and smoked haddock biryani. Can't be arsed making rottis but know I really should...
Still feeling a bit rough but I just know all that lovely spicy food will cure me ;)
(, Sat 3 Dec 2011, 19:27, Reply)
Woh', that's a lot of grub for one, whats the mattar paneer*? You'll have leftovers for ages though.

* That's my new nickname for you, Paneer. I'm asking you what's wrong, AS WELL, as wondering what that food is. I'm very witty.
(, Sat 3 Dec 2011, 19:38, Reply)
Good one ;)
Peas and cheese, basically.
There's three of us, but yeah it's a shed-load of food!
Lunches for the first half the week sorted.
Had a bit of a mental episode last night, got really upset about my Ma and ended up drinking a dozen cans of tyskie.
Today has not been the smoothest of days!

Ahh, yeah', that's right, that almost halumni like cheese. I love pakora too, I'm a suck for deep fried things.
Ah, sorry to hear that, I reckon it's the season though, the dark nights make you think a bit more. It's especailly bad if you feel your life in general was better when they were around. I know this year I've really had an amazing one, so can think "Dad'll be proud, espeshcally proud, if only he could see me*, he'd be made up", which is a possitive thing, rather than if I've had a shit year where I'd think "Damn, life was so much better before, it'll never be that good again". I feel lucky that I've never turned to booze, always had access to the right tablets at the right time, which i guess is the same thing except you can't nip into boots for my stuff.

* I reckon he can, but I know most people don't believe that. I mean, if only he could respond to seeing me
(, Sat 3 Dec 2011, 20:21, Reply)
Yeah, I've always had a tendency for t'booze :(
Things have been getting steadily worse, mum's got Parkinsons and it's got to the point now where she didn't know who I was when I went up there yesterday. Couldn't cope with it :(( and needed to get out of myself for a bit.
(, Sat 3 Dec 2011, 21:05, Reply)
Oh damn, sorry to hear that, watching someone you love and are close to deteriate is, I'd imagine, one of the worst things.
I'd rather be robbed of a proper final good-bye, like with a sudden heart attack.
(, Sat 3 Dec 2011, 21:53, Reply)
It certainly is pretty fucking shit.
It would be so much better if it could just be over.
We've had all sorts of stuff to put in place and ultimately it's just pointless.
And the sickening thing is that we would be prosecuted for cruelty if we treated an animal this way.
(, Sat 3 Dec 2011, 22:33, Reply)
I used to work at one of Morrisons' central distribution centres.
They served the best canteen food known to mankind.
(, Sat 3 Dec 2011, 20:28, Reply)
alright quenderinos?

(, Sat 3 Dec 2011, 20:30, Reply)
Feeling better, thanks.
The restorative powers of smoked haddock biryani!

I reckon I might be on the biggest comedown ever.
And it's not even drug related, I just don't think I'll ever have as much fun as I had in Amsterdam (and Glasgow last night) over the past few days.
(, Sat 3 Dec 2011, 21:04, Reply)
Amsterdam is a wonderful city. As is Glasgow.
There is another Ralph Lawson mix up, this one was recorded live at Basics.
(, Sat 3 Dec 2011, 21:59, Reply)
I thought Amsterdam, as a city, was absolutely awful.
It was the company and the absolutely hilarious events that made it good. Enschede for the game was a rubbish city too, and unbelievably violent. Although that was quite funny to be fair.
(, Sat 3 Dec 2011, 22:16, Reply)
I love Amsterdam.
Not just for the obvious attractions, but for things like the Van Gogh museum and the cheese.
(, Sat 3 Dec 2011, 22:58, Reply)
I love how easy it is to tip motor vehicles in the canal, although I was only an observer.
I honestly thought I was going to burst from laughing at all the floating Smart cars.
