I can't decide whether to go to bed, go to the girl's house who I met earlier or just stay up here and get the train home at midday. I'd like to sleep but I don't think it's gonna happen. I might just mong out here all day and go home tomorrow instead, I don't have a train ticket or anything.

it's raining which is a bit of a downer as I fancy a cigarette and don't smoke indoors. Soon I shall shower and try and order some e-books from amazon.de for my sister who lives in Germany.
She doesn't know she's getting a Kindle for Christmas so I need to
a) find her wishlist on amazon.de
b) navigate from the books she wants to their e-book equivalent
c) purchase them and ensure her wishlist is updated
d) make sure it doesn't send her the download email until Christmas
all with me not speaking any German. Not sure I'm up to the mental challenge just yet - I think last time I mirrored my actions on the UK Amazon in another tab except for the final confirmation but I've never bought e-books before.

without really thinking it through. Now here we are. You don't realise how much of the text on Amazon is pictures of text until you try and run it through Google Translate.

But I have resorted to emailing Amazon to find out how to buy one for someone else. I might have to download them, upload them to Dropbox or something and then send her a link. :(

I understand your concern that you would like to buy a kindle book to gift for your sister.
Please be informed that kindle content cannot be given as a gift on Amazon.co.uk at this time. While gifting Kindle content is not yet offered in the Amazon.co.uk Kindle store, we are working to make it available in the near future. In this case, I have let the Kindle team know that you're interested in gifting kindle content.
Customer feedback like yours helps us continue to improve the service we provide, and we are glad you took time to write to us.

I suspect a gift certificate is the way forward - a bit disappointing really.
However I have just had a bacon and egg butty so it's not all bad.

Was going to catch up on some paperwork, but it appears the network is undergoing unscheduled maintenance, so I got nothing to do till 11.
Might tidy my office I'm so bored.

So feet up on the desk reading yesterdays paper seems to be the order of the day. Still would have preferred the lie in.

Went out for works do last night, had a spectacular meal, felt sick, brought it all back up. Really not happy about that.
Add to that the fact that I've got to work today as well, and I'm not too pleased.

We've been on 10 minutes and have already run out of things to say, but my Mum will definitely stretch this out for an hour.
How are you, apart from hungover?

And pretend to kidnap you. You can do Christmas how you want, but it might put a downer on theirs when they get the ransom note on Christmas eve.

I could even rustle up some more money for presents. Enough for an extra mince pie or two at least

A heart attack does not a present make.

Unless anyone wants to pay me for sitting around in a towel, playing on my phone.
Actually, that sounds quite pervy, and I bet someone would pay me to do it...

It won't pay the rent, this job of yours, but it'll keep you in Hob-nobs
EDIT: because I'm skint, not because I don't think you're worth it

Drinking port and having less than two hours sleep is a killer. The odds of me packing my suitcase within the next couple hours is slim to nil, but aye on the plus side a hot girl pretty much forced me to give her my number. On the negative side she rang me half hour ago the horrific excuse of a person.

there's nothing quite like taking your supposedly open minded boyfriend through the red light district and watching his jaw drop in confusion and horror as he repeatedly bleats 'what the fuck? no really, what the fuck?'

Absolute fucking rubbish. Everything closes at like 1am.

Trying to find the enthusiasm to get up and go to the pub before football.

Football will only let you down. One week you're pushing motor vehicles into European canals, the next you're playing Bolton. I've seen it happen man, I've seen it happen.

In a relegation scrap. Plus the pub sells beer.

I hate football even more after the Europa draw yesterday. We'd have got Standard Liege and then Hannover or Club Brugge in the last 16. I got worked up and upset just typing that.

weekends are the same as every other dull day these past few weeks. I need to find a job sitting at home with nothing to do is boring. I have also cleaned everything a bazillion times. And done all the ironing. May go food shopping so I can make the other half a delicious meal later. I am SUCH an amazing housewife

it was most tasty. I might even be ready to try making an omelette one day.
And then we beat Blackburn away - given we lost to Wigan at home last week I wasn't confident despite them being shit.
So pretty good day all told.
