Subthread...
Sometimes I really like listening to songs that are forign, I like not knowing the meaning of the lyrics but coming up with my own meanings in my head, like that lead ballons one.

This is a good example, I listen to it every few days... www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlfKdbWwruY

Does anyone have any music like this last one?

I rather like Rammstein, and can't understand a word they say, does that count?

(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 19:57, Reply)
Dude, Rammstein are fucking terrible and bent as fuck.

(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 19:57, Reply)
Fair enough
I like em, can understand why others don't.
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:16, Reply)
Because of the bentness first,
And the shitness second.

Hope this helps. xx.
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:17, Reply)
Yeah', I guess so, not really what I'm looking for that but totally counts for what I asked for.

(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:09, Reply)
Ramstein are fucking bent and shit, but also bent

(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:22, Reply)
^ This.
Plus, it takes one to know one etc etc.

i have an album by super furries
entirely in welsh. Don't remember the last time I listened to it, though
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:10, Reply)
Not sure if this counts
but the French cover of paint it black is pretty good www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wKRN5JzYf4

I like songs in forrin
but that might be because I'm a linguist.

Have a look at this album. It's a guy who was in the first series of German Big Brother, and he launched a rap CD when he came out of the series. I like listening to it from time to time.

Tindersticks did a version of No More Affairs in French.
Rather good as it goes.
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:28, Reply)
No, but I'm quite partial to Swiss industrial band The Young Gods.
They sang in French on their first two albums, then switched to English but have since reverted to French again.
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:27, Reply)
I quite like The Young Gods.
When I was 14-16 my big thing was Industrial.

My cousin grew up in the same town they hailed from and knew them.
I only discovered this in the last few months.
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:30, Reply)
I still dig out Only Heaven du temps en temps.

(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:31, Reply)
I've had L'eau Rouge on order from Sendit.com for months.
I keep getting apologetic emails from them for being shit and not having sent it yet. Got it on vinyl but nowt to play it on. been replaying TV Sky quite a bit recently, though.
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:33, Reply)
They played in York a year ago or so.

(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:35, Reply)
I'd quite like to see them again.
Saw them twice in the late eighties (guest list tickets too). Might give their newer stuff a whirl.
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:37, Reply)
Felch it round here and stick it on my Sondek, if you fancy.
As it were.
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:38, Reply)
I'd have to get to it first.
All the vinyl is buried in a crate in a shed. Appreciate the offer though!
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:39, Reply)
I prefer Ministry though.

(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:41, Reply)
I have to confess I don't really know them.
Familiar with the name, just never got around to checking them out.
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:43, Reply)
Really?

(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:45, Reply)
I'll check that out later, thanks.

(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:57, Reply)
The offer of Sondek use?
Or the offer of a felching?
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:41, Reply)
The former!

(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:42, Reply)
Rats!
Thought I'd snuck that one in, so to speak ;)

I was listening to some Foetus earlier (Ramrod EP) when the mrs got home.
Her exact words: "What in hell is this frightful NOISE?"
By god it was great ;)
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 20:46, Reply)
I linked a Foetus video on here a while back.
Took me right back.
