Alt: Probably a digital camera, mainly keeping an eye out for those on offer. I don't particularly need a spectacular one though, so under £100 would be fine.
Alt Alt: I'm very happy with the way my Spicy BBQ pork and tomato dish came out, so it's probably that atm. Was just diced pork with a BBQ rub on it, fried, add onions, green peppers and sweetcorn to the pan, then add passata, season to your hearts desire, serve with rice. I used jerk seasoning and a little cayenne pepper in mine, was lovely!

Whereas I've found that it doesn't affect the pictures as much on digital cams, even the less expensive ones.

and are often fiddly to use (ie my compact one I can turn on straight away, not have to footle round finding camera mode). I've got a waterproof compact for larping. I want one of these though

The smartphones generally have fiddle free shortcuts to the camera so you can just point and shoot.
They're shit for macro and oookeyish for low light.
