What?
I slept v badly and am likely to be irascible today as a result.

Grrrrr.

Here, by popular demand, is my "pearoast" of yesterday's aborted GOOD THING / BAD THING thread. Fill yer fuckin' boots.

Good Thing: My father sent me a spectacularly inappropriate birthday card
Bad Thing: Gays and blacks

At least that uber-shit QOTW ends today.
Hopefully EmVee will get upset about the new one.

Where's Rory anyway?

Help me out someone, I'm stuck in here with this ghastly helmet all on my own and it's horrible.

Morning.
I too had insufficient sleep - baby tangle woke me at 4.50am.
That is a contender for my bad thing, but instead I'm going to beaker on about my forthcoming album.
Good things: I have in my possession the fifth (and hopefully final) mix of the album and yesterday I saw some preliminary sketches for the artwork.
Bad things: The vinyl pressing plant we wanted to use appears to be far too busy at the moment, so we have to look elsewhere. Also it seems to be impossible to buy decent blank record sleeves to screenprint onto.

I've got a cold.

How did you get hold of a copy?

(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 8:49, Reply)
I thought my next door neighbour had an advanced copy
but it turned out he was actually dying in agony of a stomach wound.

Boy was my face red!
(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 8:52, Reply)
Oh man, I'd like to have heard that*
*happening to anotherwanker

Serious question
Is it easier/cheaper to get vinyl pressed than it is to use Cds? I was wondering why you opted for vinyl.
(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 8:56, Reply)
Harder and a great deal more expensive but much nicer

(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 8:57, Reply)
So, how many wil be pressed and where/when could I get a copy?*
*Mind you, I'd have to find someone with vinyl-playing-equipment to hear it, I gave up on vinyl at least 15 years ago if not longer.
(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 9:03, Reply)
I've only ever bought one CD in my life.

(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 9:13, Reply)
I don't own many myself - other than for playing in my car
Most of the music I listen to at home is digitally stored.
(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 9:16, Reply)
At the last count I've got perhaps 3000 records.
I do have some digital stuff but the majority of that I also have on vinyl.

Of course!
And I've got all of K-Tel's and Ronco's releases.
(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 9:20, Reply)
I nicked 'Magic Reggae' on K-Tel off my father and still have it.
It's actually quite good.
(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 9:26, Reply)
My parents usd to buy any old shite
I think I still have their copy of 'Beatles & Bacharach go Bossa'.
(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 9:32, Reply)

It's great.
(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 9:38, Reply)
Correct

(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 9:26, Reply)
There will only be 100 copies.
Will probably be available to download as well though.

Good: Work is busy at the minute, meaning we're doing well
Bad: I'm having to work my arse off at the minute, it's one of the reasons I'm barely on here at the minute.

In the spirit of the original question
Good thing - cooked breakfast with sausage, bacon and scrambled free-range eggs.
Bad thing - the traditional pork sausages from the 'Fuller flavoured sausage company' were pretty damn average.
First world problems.
(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 9:08, Reply)
I prefer fried eggs to scrambled with breakfast.
There, I said it.
(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 9:08, Reply)
I like both.
How about that?
(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 9:10, Reply)
Kroney only has one egg for breakfast...

Good thing must simply be to wake up alive when you live in aus

(, Thu 20 Sep 2012, 9:20, Reply)
hard to be pleased by that when you wake up alone.
