I think either them or Eric Clapton can lay claim to the most extreme swings of quality in a musical career.
Can any of you readers think of another artist or act with such dizzying highs and diarrhoea-inducing lows?

have ranged from some quite fun tunes (Cover Of The Rolling Stone) to some utter drivel (When You're In Love with a Beautiful Woman). not quite the same but the difference is annoying.

Other than that I only like their early pop songs. If you ask me, Sgt Pepper is one of the worst 'psychedelic' albums of the time - 'Their Satanic Majesties' is much better if critically panned.
