So they're making subletting council houses a criminal offence.
I'm suprised that it wasn't before.
I think it's a good idea, well done coalition. What else has the government done that is good?

possibly in churches.
They cam refuse. But there are churches where the minister is gay, so I would expect those to be amenable to it. Also there are several Christian denominations supporting gay marriage.

of ffs, it doesn't matter if the minister/priest is gay, it's part of canon law.
they can't marry the gays no matter what the law says because they're sworn to uphold canon law and that says a marriage can only be between a man and a woman.
so, if a priest DID do this the marriage would be annulled by the local bishop and the priest could be thrown out the church.

no, the canon law would need to be changed and that takes fucking ages.
not only that, there need to be a large percentage of priests voting for it to be changed, there is simply no appetite in ANY of the churches for that.
what denominations are currently in favour of gay marriage? catholics nope, CoE nope, CoS nope and those are the least right wing of the jesus lovers. muslims? can't see that.

you what?
There are definitely some denominations (minor ones) in favour. My dad was a CoS minister, so I vaguely know about the structure etc of that church, and on the proper Scots side of my family they're Baptists.
But as I'm atheist I haven't been near a church in a long time and I'm genuinely curious to find out about how equality legislation will be implemented in Scotland, as I believe it's coming in there before England and Wales.
Calm down dude.

see the legislation only gives the same legal rights and status to the gays.
so, instead of a civil partnership they can get proper married.
it means fuck all to the churches though as they don't need to do anything about it at all. simple as that.

Apart from raising prices, they seem to have decided that between us and the Police, we can probably look after ourselves.

I like that Kevin Carroll got knicked last weekend even though he's standing for PCC.
Not that he had a hope in hell before, but talk about ruining your chances. I'd be so pissed off if I was a supporter/donator of the EDL/BFP.
Plus now Tommy Robinson is facing extradition to the US for entering the country illegally which is beautifully ironic.

Kevin Carroll is a figure-head for the "English Defence League" and "British Freedom Party", who are anti-isalmic organisations. The BFP formed when the EDL wanted to join the political arena. Tommy Robbinson is the leader of the EDL.
Kevin had a big funds-drive agmonst the EDL/BFP for £5k in order to stand for the Police and Crime Commisioner, there was a stupilation in the drive saying "If we don't get in, any money will go to the BFP", and since then, he's done many things to ruin the chances of getting in. He even gets other people to do his facebook stuff in his name, all the stuff he writes is like "YEH BRUV, SICK TATTO, U ROCK", but then his facebook page is written properly. When he realsed his campaign, I discovered this .... imgur.com/w0sD8 . Also, before his campaign started, he said he was going to give 50% of his wages to a children's home, and 50% to armed forces charity. Then once they got the £5k, he changed that 100% down to 25%, you know, after everyone already donated.

I have no idea who'll get in to the PCC's because I think hardly anyone will vote.
That's how I'm going to become an MEP, voter apathy.

I don't get it - I'm sure we voted not to have a PCC round here
But then I got a polling card through the door at the weekend.
Also, I'm torn - Sir Ian Blair suggests people should boycott the vote in protest, now I don't want a PCC, but I think he is a cock, so I don't know which way to go.

I've just had a look at how to become an MEP
I need £5k, and to fill in some forms, I get the £5k if I get more than 2.5% of the vote in the region.

I'm an independant.
I will vote for policies based on a simple cost/effect basis. I will try to simplify EU Bureaucracy and focus on unemployment across the EU, tax evasion and avoidance, reforming the CAP specifically putting a cap on the amount of help very large landowners can claim from it.
I'll also fix the recession in my first 90 days.
