A thread for Jeff
Tell me what you think Jeff would like most for his tea, if he could choose anything.

Now tell me what you think Jeff would like to drink, if he could choose anything.

You've spoilt me here, Al.

You're allowed to answer too if you like
though it would of course render every single other answer redundant, unless they just copy what you say.

I'd probably have a curry and some booze.
What would you have?
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:14, Reply)
What kind I curry and booze?

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:17, Reply)
Indian and alcoholic.

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:18, Reply)
Controversial

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:18, Reply)
Do you think I should go for Thai and a glass of squash?

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:19, Reply)
Vietnamese and bovril

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:25, Reply)
I don't know
I'm a terrible person for having a favourite anything. I love dry meat from teh Tayyabs, but I couldn't eat it more than once every few weeks or I'd shit my own larynx out.

And I love fish and chips, but you can't eat it every day.

But in terms of beer, my favourite tipple currently would be the American Pale Ale from teh Darkstar Brewery.

I made some crisp-coated chicken breasts
which we had with silly french fry type chips and baked beans. I bet Jeff would have liked that.
There was Tiger beer too.

Actually, let's be honest here: I didn't make the chicken breasts. i just cooked them.

Wass goin' on tonight, then?

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:27, Reply)
No, I made them from scratch.
Nothing exciting, but as a non-cook, I'm quite proud of myself.
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:28, Reply)
What did you coat them in?

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:28, Reply)
Mr b3ths skin

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:30, Reply)

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:31, Reply)
Or he gets the hose.

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:34, Reply)
Not that mr b3th knows about.

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:36, Reply)
Yet.

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:37, Reply)
I mixed some mustard powder in with a beaten egg, seasoned it,
then dipped the breasts (the chicken ones, not my own) in crushed Sunchips.

Like I say, it's hardly Nigella, but since I struggle to cook pasta, it's a step in the right direction.
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:31, Reply)
Well done you, long journeys start with small steps. Or something

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:32, Reply)
I may become domesticated yet.

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:33, Reply)
Not if it's take you this long to put crisps on a chicken breast, but yeah, you keep believing.

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:35, Reply)

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:28, Reply)

I imagined you lived in an old hotel.
I looked at buying a place in WsM once, it was - in a former life, a hotel.

It was fucking massive, cheap for what it was - and completely pointless. It would have cost more to maintain than the property would ever have been worth.
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:37, Reply)
Nah.
60s semi, innit.
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:39, Reply)

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:32, Reply)
I have never had cider with curry

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:33, Reply)
This surprises me, because drinking cider with curry is the sort of thing I would expect a bent spastic to do

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:34, Reply)
Oi!
Cunt.
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:38, Reply)
I'm not sure what is the best drink with curry, lager is too filling, wine feels wrong

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:39, Reply)
It's lager. You're wrong.
Other acceptable alternatives are Pale Ales or Lassi if you're having a particularly spicey dish and don't want to shit blood the next day.
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:41, Reply)
I would have said lassi
Anything else just exacerbates the heat.
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:44, Reply)
Lassie you say.

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 21:45, Reply)
Of course not, it has to be decent English beer with curry
But they drink cider with everything down Jeff's way.
