But I don't think AA was talking about the film, more making a statement
(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:11, Reply)
Bit of both, really

(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:14, Reply)
Apart from the French Connection
and Bullitt
and The Love Bug
(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:01, Reply)
and the italian job remake

(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:01, Reply)
The car chase in the original Italian Job was filmed in Coventry, fact fans.

(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:05, Reply)

+ The Blues Brothers

(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:02, Reply)
French Connection was alright, it wins points for being filmed live on a road open to the public.
Those crashes were actual crashes with members of the public, you know.

Bullitt sucks.
(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:02, Reply)
Yeah I read Cracked.com too ;-)
Saying "Bullitt sucks" makes you a homosexual.
(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:04, Reply)
Hah, yeah, I did read that article, but it's all over the internet if you care to look.
Bullitt is shit. I hated it.
(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:06, Reply)
I particularly liked the bit in that article about Buster Keaton

(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:08, Reply)
Keaton was nails.
I had no idea those stunts were real.
(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:11, Reply)
The title of that piece summed it up
"Buster Keaton just didn't give a fuck"

Can't believe he broke his neck and didn't feel it. He was literally a spangly outfit away from being Captain America.
(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:14, Reply)
Have a good song about Buster Keaton:

Bullitt is excellent but you need to count hubcaps and VW Beetles during the car chase

(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:11, Reply)
It's been a while since I watched Bullitt
The things that stick out for me are the opening credits with that great Lalo Schifrin score, Robert Vaughn being sleazy/Robert Vaughn something about witness protection and the car chase. I think I still have it on VHS.
(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:53, Reply)
Everyone prefers the little gay one that died.

(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:01, Reply)

but holy fuck does it drag on.

Also: Val Kilmer's hair.
(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:14, Reply)
I really like it
When De Niro and Pacino really want to act, they ACT!

Heat is an excellent film, but would you really call it an 'action' film?
I think that cheapens it, somewhat.

The Irish bird in Ronin is the one out of that Californication thing
Where Fox Mulder writes novels named after Slayer albums and drives a car.

Not the dead Richardson, she was in other stuff.
(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:43, Reply)
yeah, I was just naming Neeson's missus.

(, Thu 11 Apr 2013, 11:49, Reply)
