Good news for Sayer
As with it being a bank holiday weekend, loads of people will be going on a 'Leo'.

Will you be spending the weekend in the pub or are you going to do something far more interesting?

I'm off to watch Major Lazer tomorrow.

Tonight will be steak and good wine*
Tomorrow may involve some shopping but will also include beer and loud music.
Sunday will be an unmitigated drunken debauch on a scale that would make Caligula say 'Hold on chaps, that's going a tad far'.
I fully expect to spend most of Monday wishing for death.

edit - forgot about the asterisk
*I have six bottles of various Clare valley wines.

So Sunday is Twang Club with Pooflake, got it.

Stangely, no
There's a beer festival just down the road and there's an open invite from some friends for a huge BBQ. I fully intend to get incoherent, swearing, falling down drunk.

pub near us has one on all weekend, suspect it will be messy.
(, Fri 3 May 2013, 8:18, Reply)
Our one involves the whole village - and there are five pubs.
I think I'll stay off the 'real ale' though, I don't think my bowels could take it!
(, Fri 3 May 2013, 8:23, Reply)
Long Itchington?
Why would you go to a beer festival and avoid the 'real ale'?
(, Fri 3 May 2013, 8:45, Reply)
I like it!
It doesn't like me - some I can get away with, some have a volcanic effect on my bowels and I'm never sure which ones. It's a form of 'rectum roulette' when I drink real ale.
Shame really, I'm told there's some superb ales on this weekend.
(, Fri 3 May 2013, 8:49, Reply)
Stick to the lighter coloured ones and you should be OK
Summer ale, IPA, Golden, etc.

It's the dark heavy stuff like porter etc that affects the bowels, usually.

..the first thing I thought of was the "Think of all the animals you ever thought about..." song rather than the Mancini tune. Stoopid Rinky-Dink Panther.
(, Fri 3 May 2013, 9:10, Reply)
Oh that's a far superior tune, in a groovy 60s way.
A better show, too, what with Crazy Legs Crane being on board.

I have to say I was appalled at how shit the science museum is. Some of the exhibits are like GCSE homework. Total gash.

The Wallace Collection (Manchester Square I think) however, is fucking amazing. Loads of meh French furniture but downstairs is without doubt the finest collection of weapons I've ever seen. And I live in the East End.

The National History Museum next door, on the other hand, was awesome, particularly the kids lab in the basement, a free hour playing with microscopes and stuff.

website says so too - it's called the "investigation centre".

Dinosaur bit costs extra though and is queued up (we didn't bother)
