You've not mentioned how the violin playing is going recently
How is it going?

Uncle Tone asked me about it last week and made me feel bad about not touching it for a little while, so I started pissing about with it on the weekend again.
I'm still struggling to play one string at a time, but i've worked out how the notes progress with my fingers =)

I didn't know you were into that kind of thing, but while you've bought it up....

I have always maintained that my use of hallucinogens did me good.
The other stuff inc alcohol, less so to say the least
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 18:59, Reply)
Is it wrong that I'm quite pleased with myself
For that Bay City Rollers pun in the previous thread.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:00, Reply)
It was certainly remarkable

(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:02, Reply)
nope it was superb

(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:02, Reply)
I reckon right, I've not heard anyone regret taking hallucinogens.
There are those who are so fucked up that they can't coprihend being fucked up.... but thats like a really really really reallly really minior amount. I once had an audio-hallicination and it was pretty cool, I also get that Exploding Head thing.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:06, Reply)
I hate that exploding head thing*
*if it is the same thing I have experienced
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:19, Reply)
What is that?

(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:30, Reply)
Where you hear like bangs and explosions when you're extremely exorsted, normally with an extreme phsyical-and-not-mental anxiety....
but they go away when you get up or shift your head a bit.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:30, Reply)
Glad I've never had that.

(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:35, Reply)
It's alright really, if that was the only thing that was wrong with me then i'd be alright. It's completely harmless.
You know they're in your head and that they'd go away if you just move your head slightly. Something to do with the inner-ear I think.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:40, Reply)
Something different then.
Mine was more like my head was a cork in a wine bottle being popped out.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:39, Reply)
I think thats a better description than mine, its like a very sudden sound.
But its as loud as what i'd imagine a gunshot would be.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:41, Reply)
Taking ecstasy changed my life, my outlook, my way of thinking and mellowed me right out.
I cannot recommend it enough.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:08, Reply)
for you
bleach would have been better.

you should take a LOT of bleach.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:09, Reply)
Is that what happened to your hair?
You hated yet another aspect of your appearance, so you decided to bleach your brunette hair and it went ginger? Is that what happened? It is, isn't it?
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:13, Reply)
alright DOZERTRON!
I hate to nitpick, but that would have turned it bright orange rather than ginger. And it would have to have been nearly black to start with (or the bleach was weak/half-perished.)
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:26, Reply)
And here we have dull-as-ditchwater facts getting in the way of some bullying of the ginger.

(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:27, Reply)
Top hair based pedantry here. 9/10. Would read again A +++.

(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:27, Reply)
So MDMA changed your outlook on life and made you more mellow

The amount of cocaine I took between 2004 and 2007 almost put me in a rehab centre. Haven't touched it since 23rd April 2007.

(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:22, Reply)
Was this before you were diagnosed with epilepsy?
Or did that follow this heavy cocaine use?
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:27, Reply)

I was always too scared to try an hallucinogen. Given my rather weak will regarding addictive substances this is probably for the best.

(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:21, Reply)
No hallucinogen is thought to be addictive.
That I know of, anyway.

Ever 'done a trip' yourself? What's it like?

(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:24, Reply)
I did many between 1992 and 1995
Then took advantage of the loophole in the law on mushrooms in the early 2000s, when some enterprising folk were selling them over the counter.
It was always amazing. Utterly euphoric.
One acid trip scared me slightly because it was far stronger than I was expecting, but the euphoria carried me through.
Mushrooms were much easier though, because they don't last so long.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:32, Reply)
The length of a trip was one of the things that put me off. Charlie wears off quickly, so if I've done too much I won't be wired for hours, too much booze and I fall asleep.
So I have a level of control, to an extent.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:35, Reply)
this is what has always put me off too.
Along with the fact that my wrong brain is quite capable of manufacturing a bad trip without any help. :/

weed is nice though.

I had a spliff when away camping with Stunned & Monty a few weeks ago. First one for about ten years.
Lovely. It won't be another ten years before I have a smoke.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:50, Reply)
Yeah, it's not really one for the headwrongs.
Although some don't find out until it's too late.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:51, Reply)
I reckon ecstasy taken in a welcoming environment would do CQ a world of good, I really genuinely do.

(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:52, Reply)
Both LSD and MDMA were developed and tested with a view to treating psychiatric disorders.

(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:56, Reply)
I know.
It's horrible at rock gigs/ rock clubs though. Just doesn't work.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 20:00, Reply)
It should be pointed out that neither were adopted though

(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 20:01, Reply)
well of course.
But they do make rather good recreational drugs.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 20:02, Reply)
a shame as I'm massively curous.
and not actually as headwrong as this place might make you think, but still probably better not to risk it.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:53, Reply)
Same goes. One consideration for me has always been what drugs have been cut with, as well as the drug itself & how my meds would react with both.

(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:57, Reply)
This is my understanding of things too.
Also, stimulant addiction is very different to opiate addiction.
(, Mon 22 Jul 2013, 19:26, Reply)
They're generally active at much lower doses than stimulants/opioids, so you'd have to fairly neck them 24/7 to get addicted.

Sigmund isn't the only Freud that enjoys cocaine, as I know from personal experience.
Hi Matthew, grandson of Sigmund, husband of Rupert Murdoch's daughter & chairman of Freud Communications! It's been about a year, drinks soon? xx

He got nicked in France a few years back. Elizabeth (his wife) was pulled over for speeding. Apparently the full story is he was seen sucking her tits whilst she was driving her Bentley with the roof down and they did her for dangerous driving.
He got a caution for possession.

This is only a rumour.
